NOT a straight port. Graphics would be enhanced, gameplay would be improved with more features and flaws would be corrected.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

in a few years time, after the current switch FE project, fire emblem fates should get a port w all three paths on cart like the LE. its a great game already but they could jazz up the cutscenes, include some dlc to make the endgame fleshed out and include all the cut features from the japanese version

I doubt any will be, at least until the install base grows significantly AND the 3DS is officially retired. That said, my top 10 list for games that should see ports (ignoring RE:R, MH3, KH3D and other games that have already been ported in the past, and Hyrule Warriors, Mario Maker, Smash Bros, and other Wii U dual releases, and finally ignoring the already likely confirmed Phoenix Wright ports)

1. Kid Icarus: Uprising - This game was an absolutely wonderful joy to play, and revamped controls and some additional content would just make it better. Plus, it would be absolutely gorgeous in HD
2. Metroid: Return of Samus - I absolutely am adoring this game at the moment, all I'd like out of it is the ability to remap controls and it'd be golden.
3. Kirby Triple Deluxe / Kirby: Planet Robobot - Both of these games could easily be ported for a worthwhile dual pack.
4. Bravely Default / Bravely Second - Rebalance the first games endgame at the least, and with the For The Sequel content
5. A Link Between Worlds - I dunno what would need to change even, but more chances to play this game are a good thing
6. Inazuma Eleven Trilogy - Most notably, an NA release, cause I only got to play the sole game they released in NA on the eshop. You already have an english translation, how hard is an NA digital release?
7. Attack of the Friday Monsters - Why? Cause this is my list.
8. Shin Megami Tensei IV - Hard choice for which one to pick, but I think this one is most deserving of an HD remake.
9. Code Name: Steam - Never gonna happen, but it should.
10. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon - I'm a little unsure on how this game would come over to the big screen, but I have to admit I'd give it a shot
Bonus: Fire Emblem Fates / Fire Emblem Awakening - I don't really care which, but I'd love to see one of these ported to fill in a hole in the release schedule... that said, a remake of an older game might be a better choice.

Luigi's mansion 2 would be fantastic. It's only a shame that they would have to remove the 3D, but the ability to change directions while catching ghosts and a more fleshed out multiplayer would be worth a second buy. Other than that? I don't really know. Xeodrifter with some more variety in bosses would be nice.

I'm tempted to say Kid Icarus Uprising, but to be honest I'd much rather see a sequel instead. It's easily one of my favourite 3DS games, and I believe the series has a lot of potential. Also imagine the on-rails gameplay in HD!

Just got and have been enjoying Mario Party The Top 100. Wish it was on Switch as a 20 dollar download, because i’d much rather play it there.

Anti-Matter

I wish LEGO CITY Undercover: The Chase Begins ported to Switch with LEGO CITY Undercover Switch version graphics.

In the super unlikely dream world?

Mario Maker
Xenoblade
All the Pokemon games
Both Fire Emblem games
Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance
Zelda a Link between worlds

But I seriously doubt we will see any of these... baring MAYBE Fire Emblem and Mario Maker.

The cutscenes are already produced in HD. They are available in the soundtrack release and the Blu-ray that is included in the Limited Edition of Echoes in Japan. I suspect that this was a means to futureproof the games for a potential rerelease.
