Considering how little SEGA cares about Nintendo handhelds at this point (or Nintendo in general for that matter), I doubt the 3DS will get any kind of quality Sonic game at this point. But I'm not even sure quality Sonic games will even be a thing anymore anyway, so it doesn't really matter (Sonic and quality have never really had a good relationship in the first place anyway).

A third wave of 3D Sega oldies has been announced.
That said, most of Sega's retail 3DS support was in the earlier days (e.g. Sonic Generations, Shinobi, Super Monkey Ball 3D), and the VC support took a turn for the nonexistent… Here's what I'd like to see get announced, more Game Gear games. Better yet, Master System games. I wanna play Wonder Boy and its sequel on the go. (Though those could both be 3D-fied instead, which would be better.)
My picks
1.f-zero game
2.snes 3d classics
3.gba virtual console games
new 3ds
1.kirby epic yarn 3d
2.n64 virtual console
3.super mario Galaxy 1 remake
4.legend of zelda wii or game cube remake
5.amiibo for mario kart 7

^Super Mario Galaxy isn't gonna happen on the 3DS, 3D Land was originally gonna be a new Galaxy game but in the early stages they felt it didn't work. I really hope they don't do more Zelda remakes on the 3DS at this point.
It could definitely happen on the New 3ds. I don't think any Wii game us off limits.
Not really, they felt the 3DS screen was too small for a Galaxy game hence why they made 3D Land instead and the New 3DS still has that same limitation so nothing has changed.
No one seems to care about those series anymore... The newer Fire Emblem games seem to have usurped any future appearance Advance Wars may have had. (And rightfully so: they're darned good. We could always have more strategy games, though, right?) And, oh my gosh, Golden Sun... And that's because Dark Dawn came out toward the end of the DS line's life.

That was most likely said when the original model was in play. Xenoblade has changed everything and now they know they can make money off of it. You can't tell me Galaxy is more ambitious then Xenoblade.

That is old news and I see where you're coming from but Xenoblade has changed everything we use to think of when developing. That was also before the XL model was released I might add. Further on in development and as years go by things change and I don't believe for one second it can't and maybe won't be done.

I'm @Spoony_Tech. Time has passed since then and Xenoblade proves it can be done now. Mario Galaxy is a bit of a special case, though. That game was optimized for the wiimote and I can see Nintendo, if they ever do, making the sequel for the Wii U instead of the 3DS, simply because the Wii U has access to the wiimotes, and it also has that gamepad to collect starbits and interact with things in the game world as well. It would take some revamping to make it work for the 3DS and I'm not sure Nintendo is willing to put that effort in.

The scope and scale of Xenoblade isn't much different then Galaxy. Nobody would've thought that was possible either but they did it. It can be done and probably a lot easier then Xenoblade was.
@TeeJay Didn't think about the Wiimote thing but tbh other then collecting the Star bits it's not needed. I don't think they would have to revamp as much as you think. After all Majora's Mask was in development supposedly for 3 years and I don't even believe that.

How exactly has Xenoblade changed everything?
How has it not?
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Scale isn't the problem with Galaxy, it's perception. Technically the hardware can do it but so what when the game isn't suitable for the platform via the limitations of the console's screen so a game that needs the camera to shift a lot and needs Mario to stand out will take up a lot of screen isn't suitable. Your very thought out Xenoblade argument is all well and good but it doesn't change Ninty looked into it and said it wont work as a game with nothing having changed those original problems.
Considering how much speculation and hints MM had there was no reason to not believe it wouldn't come out.
I know it's kind of an underrated gem and by no means heavy seller, but I would absolutely love a portable version of the Wii title Excitebots: Trick Racing. This game was criminally overlooked and one of the best kart racers, and with all the 3DS gimmicks with the touchscreen all the wacky stuff you have to do while racing would be fantastic. The studio who developed it have been pretty much sitting on their hands since Pilot Wings Resort was released as far as I know.
Other than that little wish, a return to form 2D metroid game would be fantastic as well as some more gems from Atlus in the RPG genre. Maybe one more solid Mario platformer and then I'll be perfectly happy with my library.
