Topic: WayForward wants to make a My Little Pony game

I don't see how it's illogical, the MLP fan base has arguably the most devoted and craziest fanbase of all time, it will make money, and that's the big thing.

I think something must have a bigger fan base... I think... but what?

Please tell me you're joking. Right off the top of my head I can think of several...hundred.

Bigger, there are quite a few. But more devoted and crazy? Very few, a min of one for a tie.

Meh. I'd rather have a game based on any other Hasbro franchise than this. Or if it has to include this at least be a crossover game like Smash Bros..

Vocaloids and anime

Anime's a medium, not a franchise.

If you need a bigger fanbase though, probably Pokemon. Pretty damn dedicated one too.

Also, my only worry about this is that certain 'unsavoury' elements will be drawn to Nintendo and 3DS themed sites if one gets made, and I really don't have a great interest in dealing with bronies on forums.

WayForward, I know you'd make a lot of money if you went ahead with this...idea, but otherwise I must ask you...

Why?

Wayforward always has quality games from what i've seen, and Friendship is Magic has a huge fanbase, so this is clever move.

So, would you rather see a Littlest Pet Shop game? If it was a crossover game, it should be something like... MLP:FiM vs. Transformers Animated!

I wouldn't mind a Pony game, my son likes the show and the designs are really well done. I know that someone said no to Wayforward making a Metroid games, but I think they would be a great fit. I've been waiting for awhile for Metroid to return back to its 2D roots and do something like Super Metroid.

My dream MLP:FiM game would RPG style with the main quest being based off the recurring Elements of Harmony storyline with Nightmare Moon and Discord, add in the Crystal Empire, and incorporate parts of "Hearths Warming Eve", "Swarm of the Century", "The Cutie Mark Chronicles", and "The Mysterious Mare Do Well" (only make Mare Do Well an actual character). Use Chrysalis and her Changelings for path baddies. The group will of course consist of the main six and each have their own side quests/contests to earn items and gain experience (like Apple Jack advancing in a country wide Rodeo tournament, Rarity having to find specific materials to design dresses for high profile clients, Twilight Sparkle assembling a book of rare Equestrian spells, Fluttershy helping animals in trouble along the way, Rainbow Dash having to race members of the Thunderbolts to gain membership and Pinkie Pie entering local cooking contests). Have the Cutie Mark crusaders show up from time to time to assist with side missions and earn experience towards getting their cutie marks and include a platform style mini-game with Spike running errands for Twilight Sparkle.

But a Wayforward platformer would be good too. Or really just a good game in general. Actually anything that isn't a collection of generic dress up and 'let's plan a party' games aimed at 8 year old girls would already be exceeding my expectations.

I liked Double Dragon Neon and Bloodrayne, though I hope they don't smurf up this game...
