Looks like she's charge of the button-controlled retro games. They probably want a some character varietly for the different control method and theme combinations.
So we have 5-Volt for buttons, and 9-Volt and 18-Volt for either Touch or Motion. Maybe add a fourth character (Fronk?) or reuse 9-Volt for the mode that combines the three control methods.
Truth be told, I never even imagined 18-Volt having a voice. I liked most of the sound bits in Touched; I think my favorites we're definitely 9-Volt and Ashley (especially her song; I had the whole thing memorized at one point).
Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)
I might have to get this. I loved the first game, and I have the two DS installments. And the extras detailed in the GameXplain review seem really cool.

I played through practically the entirety of WarioWare, yesterday.
It wasn't as good as I'd hoped for.
For the most part, the minigames work exactly as they used to, and that's a glorious thing!
But I've a number of issues, most of which boil down to the incredibly bland menu system.
As you know, I hate making menus, so I'm hardly one to speak of such a thing, but the menus in this game are just so very bland.
Character select - bland menu.
Minigame select - bland menu.
Toy/capsule select - bland menu.
When the original game was released on the GBA, it was made up of a desktop-icon style GUI, which was meant to simulate Wario's laptop.
Now, 25 years later, it's just a barebones looking menu. Nothing special happens in the menus.
The storyline, too, doesn't really ever go anywhere. There's an attempt at making things a bit more interesting, but it feels like the creators felt like simply replicating the original GBA version was surely more than enough.
But it isn't.
Especially when you only half-arse the rest of it.
If you look at the sheer breadth and scope of the Rhythm Heaven/Paradise Megamix game from a couple of years ago, it's a drastically different affair.
Sure, everything is accessed from a menu, but the menu is lively, has a certain feel to it, and just feels so much like a giant sprawling collection of things.
Here in the new WarioWare. Well, it's just a pile of static tiles, in a grid, in the middle of the screen.
It doesn't "do" anything. It doesn't "feel" like a vast collection. It's just a plain grid.
.. And then there's the number of microgames.
The original GBA version had (IIRC) 240 minigames.
If you take those, add the minigames from WarioWare Twisted, and add the minigames from WarioWare Touched, you get another 200 or so from Twisted and then another nearly 200 from Touched.
That's about 600, give or take.
The 300 included in WarioWare Gold is half of that.
And barely anything's new. True, it's a "Gold", but it's like they just grabbed whatever they had lying around and chucked it onto a cart with a bland menu.
There's no DIY, there's no Snapped, and you don't even get Tomorrow Hill playing during Spitz'n'Dribble's stage..
Somewhere the game's lost its heart and soul.
Maybe I was expecting too much from this game.
I guess Rhythm Paradise Megamix spoiled me..
But I feel ultimately let down by WarioWare Gold
I'm still wondering if unlocking further Minigames might reveal some DIY/Snapped features.. ... But it's not looking good.
@Snaplocket Quite possibly just me being grumpy. True.
I enjoyed Rhythm Megamix for the better part of about a week. I loved every little section that opened up, and the way the game grew and grew to become one glorious whole.
This is just a menu with games in it, and as much as I've loved (LOVED) every single WarioWare before it (not counting Game'n'Wario, obviously) I'm really disappointed by how this game is presented.
It certainly isn't the "Gold" that's stated on the cover.
For newcomers, it's an ok enough starting point. But that's not really how it's being marketed. It's being marketed as "The GOLD standard", which is really isn't.
I'm ploughing through the game, but the repetition is making it hard to get through some of the optional objectives, and the game has become tedious very quickly.
If Nintendo had released a fresh WarioWare game for the 3DS followed by "Gorgeous/Gold" a year or two later, then that's absolutely fine, but considering that we have been waiting EIGHT years for a new WarioWare game (not counting Game & Wario, which deviated from the WarioWare formula), which has been released over seven years into the lifespan of the 3DS, the game has been too repetitive for comfort.
I didn't wait seven years for this. I mean, I'm grateful that we have gotten WarioWare anything after such a ridiculous hiatus (prior games were released in relatively close proximity to one another), but all they have done is just serve us the same content that we have been playing during that hiatus.
What is even more annoying is that the vast majority of these microgames would work as well, if not better, on Switch. It saddens me to see many of the Wii's microgames (which were all motion based) being reduced to tilt/mash fodder, especially the hilarious hula and push microgames.
Now, more than ever, I so, so, hope for a proper successor to Smooth Moves on Switch. It was disappointing enough that we will never see a MotionPlus based WarioWare (unless a Switch instalment comes along) or a 3D one (Gorgeous/Gold being 2D only).
For those whose 3DSes are collecting dust, I wouldn't particularly recommend dusting it off for this, but for first-timers or those who have only had a fleeting glimpse of the series will find this to be worthwhile and enjoyable instalment (albeit very short, unless you intend to unlock everything, and there is plenty of replay value as well).
The cutscenes are amusing as always, however, I am not liking some of the voice changes (especially Jimmy T). I would love to see WarioWare get some more love in Smash. Jimmy T and Ashley would make wonderful additions to the roster.
