Topic: Using cheap SD cards?

I want to go totally digital for my 3DS because of the convenience. I have a 32GB Micro SD card and adapter already for my phone I was just going to use that for my 3DS games. The thing is that it is a very cheap Chinese knock off. It works well with my phone but will it be reliable for storing games on it for my 3DS? And if the even that my SD card does happen to format itself or something oddly similar will I be able to back the games up on my computer and just transfer them over to a new SD card if necessary? Also, the micro Sd is HC class 6 if that matters.

You can back it up on a computer. The back up will only work on the 3DS the games were bought on though.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

I purchased a cheap 8GB SD card a while back. So far, I haven't lost any data, but it has froze my game and made me return to the home menu before. I wouldn't advise getting an off-brand SD card.
