hey guys i actually joined the site like 10 minutes ago to ask a question regarding this. I'm thinking about getting a ads xl in a few weeks when it comes out. as well as making a system transfer, I'm gonna upgrade my sd card to an 8 or 16gb one (havnt decided) and i was wondering if all my save data from my games will or will not go when i transfer.what will happen.

thanks in advance!

If you don't have one, just get a USB adapter.

Hey I just want to clarify something for transfering my games from my 3DS SD card to my computer and back to a new SD card. I just want to know if I copy everything from my SD card, whether all my save files will stay intact. Here's what I plan to do when I get the 3DS XL and start transferring stuff:
1. I want to use my current 8GB card for my new 3DS, not the included 4GB, which I may just give to my current model. First I'll insert my 8GB card into my PCs card slot and copy the contents (excluding music, which i'll delete) to a folder on my desktop labelled "3DS Stuff".
2. Hopefully the included SD card is properly formatted (if not please explain again, I can't remember how I did it last time) because the 3DS blacked out for people at launch and there was formatting needed for this problem. So I have my formatted 4GB SD card, I want to re-download all my games from my folder "3DS Stuff" into the 4GB SD card by draging and dropping the folder/files onto the card via My Computer on my PC.
3. Next, once I have my games etc on my 4GB card, I want to run the 3DS System Transfer tool and then insert my 8GB card into my new 3DS XL and run the Transfer tool on that as well. Assuming I've done all that, I'm hoping I can transfer all my current games to my 3DS XL, which will then re-save all my games and (hopefully) save data too.

Can anybody validate whether this is the right method for people who wish to use the same SD card with their new system? It's just that i've tried to follow other peoples explainations but I just want to confirm my understanding of the process.
