@WaveBoy Isn't it interesting when people do what they just said they hated, but in several sentences instead of one? Just saying...you're not really helping your case, sir.
Since it seemingly hasn't been brought up here, I think the 3DS and WiiU share a common problem: the names. Obviously Nintendo intended to rely on brand recognition, but I think it's working against them. Both of these systems sound like add-ons/peripherals or incremental updates as opposed to next-generation consoles. I can't count the number of times I've heard "3DS is just a DS with 3D", even though that's wrong for so many reasons. Heck, I've seen "WiiU? Didn't they already release Wii Motion Plus? This is just another controller" already. The only way to fix this misconception for the general public is through word of mouth, it seems. I seriously hope the WiiU gets a name change, though I'm doubting it heavily.
Kid Icarus Uprising was a good title. 3D Land sound like an amusement park to me. I just hope that Nintendo will use the word "3D" lesser in the future, except if it comes to remakes. Don't get me wrong, I don't want something like "The Marvelous and Extraordinary Super Adventures of the Plumber named Super Mario hence teh title Chronicles Brotherhood Saga Part One of Threethousands."
It's a conspiracy, I tell you. http://backloggery.com/Matillion 3DS FC - 1719 3275 2374
Hey, the way I see, we could've gotten worse names.
But I don't care for the name, it's the game I come for.
THIS.
The names are fine. Who cares right? I thought more unoriginal names took place in the N64 era. Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Excitebike 64, Star Fox 64, ect.

Titles like those make me fear for creative naming in video games. The writers must have come up with them in their sleep.
Yeah. Mario Kart 7 should have been called Kapowcowflower.
That would have sold much better.
P.S The subtext to my sarcasm is this: A game's name is to sell copies, not to be all artistic and creative. The french beret style of business died a long time ago.
Up until Mario Kart 7 was announced as the new Mario Kart entry you wouldn't have even thought of this topic. And considering you only named two games all together your point doesn't...add up? Super Mario 3D Land sounds fine. Great even. It's Mario. If you want to make a topic last make it on bad titles in general, not so focused on Nintendo.
check a super nintendo or a nintendo 64 games list on wikipedia, and enjoy the overflowing number of Super or 64 the same thing is happening with the 3DS. youll get those 3D everywhere
Every single game that just had "64" plastered at the end: Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Kirby 64, Earthworm Jim 64, Star Fox 64, Mega Man 64... the list goes on and on.
@ Waveboy. Yeah people correcting my spelling is a bit annoying. It's all good though I fixed it. Guess I should have double checked that one. Thanks for stickin up for me.
