I have a small problem with my 3DS, I want to pull the legend of zelda four swords (anniversary) from my DSi and put it on my 3DS. I thought about doing a transfer but I do not want to lose my games I have right now and their save data like MK7 which is built into my system. I have tried putting the data from the game and put it into the DSiware folder on my 3DS but the data says the game is corrupt. Is there anyway I can get zelda four swords on my 3ds?

You can transfer content from the DSi to the 3DS in a piece by piece form; but even if you make a full transfer, you won't lose any data that is on the 3DS since they're both completely different systems with completely different information.

Doing the transfer will simply transfer your DS settings (completely separate from the 3DS settings), your photos, and will give the 3DS the rights to access your DSiWare (while removing the rights from the DSi).

Anyway, if all you want to do is transfer one single dsiware game, then just do a partial transfer and send the game. it will be fast, easy and without problems.

You will lose the save data for the dsiware you transfer, since you only really send the rights to download them, so they count as separate objects (even if you copy the game from your dsi to your 3ds, the new system won't recognize the old file). But in the case you ever buy the same game again on your DSi, the system will recognize the previous file as if nothing had happebed.
