@6ch6ris6 vgchartz just guessing those numbers, you can't believe them...For example the last report from Nintendo stated that AC:NL sold over 7,38 million of copies.
A strong man doesn't need to read the future... He makes his own.
Nintendo always give shipped numbers, not sold to customers. Not saying VGChartz is 100%, but sales numbers aren't hard to get if you're willing to pay for them.

Surely if Nintendo gives a figure they would include eshop as well. Do even Amazon give their numbers to anybody ?

Freedom of the press is for those who happen to own one.
To me, top selling games help people be aware of how great that game is for that system. So yeah I guess that good.
Popular doesn't necessarily equal good, or vice versa. For example, Ocarina of Time didn't even break 8 million copies sold.
8 million is a pretty big milestone. According to VGChartz Fire Emblem: Awakening only sold 1.28 million whereas I know my local gamestop was out of copies for a while when it released.
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.
I was gonna say, where the hell's Pokemon? Glad someone gave an updated list. VGchartz is the site you want, they update every week or so and have everything (except digital sales)

Mario and Pokemon games are in a different league to Fire Emblem. Fire Emblem is niche as hell so they only print a certain amount of copies. That's why they sold out. 1.3 million was the most a fire emblem game has ever sold (the GBA version sold just under a million) so they obviously print enough copies to match that kind of popularity.
Fire Emblem is not niche any more (And has been spoilt in the process).
Lol well I think Fire Emblem Awakening is perhaps the best game on the 3DS, so I'm gonna have to disagree. Maybe second to OoT 3D. Haha I was about to say it's funny how often people get annoyed when something becomes popular. But I see someone beat me to it.
I'm more than happy to see Fire Emblem enter the mainstream. It's slightly dumbed down, but it still keeps the core mechanics strong. As much as I love Final Fantasy tactics, I really don't need to click through 3 menus in order to attack someone.

That's just because vgchartz doesn't include digital. You always need to add an extra 20-25% for digital.
