Very early this morning (in the US), I checked my 3DS and I received a notice on it that told me about the 3DS Update. It just said June 6th evening for the time. It did mention one thing that I didn't know the Update would include: Automatic updates. Yes, the 3DS will finally get the ablity to update itself (like it was orignally supposed to be able to). Of course, to get that ablity to update itself, you'll have to update it yourself first. lol.
Oh and two other details: A) the OK Go Video will disappear with the update (I imagine its UK counterpart will do the same) and B) if you have Ridge Racer, you may have trouble with that game after the update. But Nintendo will have another update later this month fixing the Ridge Racer problem. (I do not have Ridge Racer, so I'm not worried).
As for what time the update will be out in the U.K, my guess is Midnight at the earliest, which would be 6pm central time here (I believe). Though I suspect it'll be more like 9, 10, 11, or 12 pm central time. In any case, I'll be waiting for it. I'll probably be checking all night. lol.

They did mention on their website that opting in to a short video service will become available soon so I cant see why they wouldnt keep the videos available as a free download when the service becomes available... hopefully we will also get a chance to download the OK Go video as well because I have wanted to see that. I agree though, it has been a great way of showing non-gamers the 3DS.

Well you cannot delete that video yourself, so in order to get rid of it, it has to be removed in an update. So why not this one?
Please sign my petition to get a European (and Australian) release for Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked for the 3DS. Don't let Europe be deprived of another amazing game.

Yasume...Gamestop has 3DS prepaid cards but for some unknown region they can't be purchased. They are on display...you can pick them up...but the register won't allow them to be sold. I can't figure it out at all.
@Yasume - Apparently the eShop cards are available at some spots, but they're not readily available everywhere. It's odd at best. I know @MERG mentioned a few days ago on a Friend List status post that he bought or at least saw one at a Gamestop. Nintendo really should've done a better job with distributing them.
@G-MaxiMillion - Yep. We believe it to be at 6 PM PST, but we're not entirely sure.

Do we know for sure that points cards won't work? I have one that I was hoping to use for DSiWare. (I sold my DSi)
I would assume that points cards will just be converted when you use them and will then be gradually phased out and replaced with eShop cards.
I doubt it. It's too complex for Nintendo to additionally add a small, for most meaningless operation when they are extremely busy elsewhere with things that could be a lot more useful, doing this would be counter-productive for Nintendo, in a sense of time wasted, rather than money.
