Topic: Things you would like to see improved in future firmware

I would love to see a chat or message system to communicate with friends. An event to set up game nights would be great too (kinda like FB events as reminders).

One thing I would love to see implemented is when you play ds and dsiware games; allow you to return to the main menu to check friends list and web browser.

What about you guys? What do you want to see?

Social media integration like Facebook, Google+ and Twitter. Or apps I guess.
Photo manipulation like in the DSi camera mode.
Alarm clock like in all DS models.
Calendar feature like in the DSi/XL
Fixing the coin system so buying puzzle pieces or heroes isn't mostly a complete waste of your time and effort.

I'd say better camera quality and Internet radio but one can be an app and the other is a hardware issue.

Oh and demos. I mean really now.

I would like them to finally roll out that pizza-making function. I've been waiting since the Super Nintendo, come on people. It can't be that hard to include.

They shoul make a update that has a online game where u go around as ur mii doing missions playing mini games with friends chatting and stuff pretty much Nintendo world for miis and pets and customizable clothes

O and the missions u do r 4 mario link peach samus any Nintendo charater and u can choose 2 b a good or bad mii or in between

I'd like to also see, the ability to send "friend list request" instead that tedious put code in then wait for your friend or random person to put yours in.

The only thing that I am aching for with a firmware update is some kind of messaging system, sure there are other things that would be great but the online games are suffering until Nintendo have a better way of organising games without being limited by 16 letters. "im hostin now" or "online at 9pm etc...

Password protected settings. These devices are used by kids as young as 3 yo, it is easy for them to accidentaly get into the settings area and cause havoc there. The very same problem exists for the Wii.

Friends messaging! We've taken the trouble of registering each other's friend codes; obviously we somehow know each other, so let us at least talk to each other! The absence of a messaging feature does not protect little kids from strangers.

Id like: 3D PictoChat, more regions in Pokedex (although Johto would be hard to get every sticker, since it would only give you 1/28 unowns, meaning youd have to know at least 27 other friends with a 3DS), more Mii Hats, More Puzzles, allowing you to collect more then 10 Coins a Day, 3D Flipnote, Date/alarm, Video recording, connectivity with Wii/ Wii U VC ie Mario Golf 64 and Mario Golf GBC, GBA games on VC not just for amassators.

All I want now is a messaging service thing. I need to properly communicate with my friends. That's all, really.

Well I'd like to see the 3D camera they talked about come up, not sure I'd use it but I know a lot of people would appreciate it. I'd also like to see a good overhaul of their virtual console emulator, in particular with old Gameboy stuff as they're handling it horribly. Donkey Kong 94 should at the least if they don't toss in the border have the sound effects, color schemes, and other perks in there (as any SGB game should.) Also GBC in firmware had dozens of color settings to special code a look to their 1st party games, some third party too. Metroid II had a nice one as did Kirby bringing it up looking more like the NES titles (though still in just 4 colors), and even Street Fighter II had some nice color tweaks.

I'd like to see some more work done with the menu as it's a bit of pain either having to drag drag drag or move to teeny squares once you start loading it up with stuff, which it will be shortly by 20 icons due to the ambassador program. I know it won't happen but I think a better menu system like the XMB sony has or something or even their form of sorting in their shop view would be better used than little icons.

I would like to have the chat features added. I would also like to be able to earn more than 10 coins in a day.
