Here is the thread for all things Theatrhythm Final Fantasy! Is anyone else planning on picking up the game when it launches in less than two weeks? I absolutely adored the first game, so I'm super hyped for Curtain Call, especially after playing the demo.

I apologize if there was already a thread for this game, but I couldn't find one.

I'm waiting for Theatrhythm Dragon Quest. I'll be waiting right here Square Enix! (I'll probably die waiting mind you).

I loved the demo! And I LOVE how you can use buttons. It's going to save my touch screen a whole bunch of scratches

I played a ton of the first one, so I will be picking up the second one. Intrigued on how the buttons will work, as I am so used to the touch screen.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

Definitely picking this up multiplayer was such a blast in the first game.

Curtain call is a minute 1 purchase for me.

Though, playing the demo, anyone else felt that the sensibility for the green notes in field stages has changed? I tried playing as always, but it was simply not enough. I had to move the stylus up and down more.

@Reverandjames
From what I've read, Curtain Call has all the songs from the first game, plus new songs, the Quest Medley Mode, and Multiplayer.

@Morphbug
I thought the sensetivity was fine until I tried playing on Ultimate. It's not so much that the game doesn't register your motions correctly, you just need to be insanely fast.

Yeah that's what I thought too.

I tried playing Sabin's Theme on ultimate with my regular 'speed', only to fail a lot

The button mode is nice, though I don't see myself using it much on the higher difficulties.

On another note, I wonder if the music player is back and if it will include dlc songs this time.

Is there a benefit to doing the demo like Bravely Default for the 3DS?

I pre-paid on it with a gift card I had through amazon so it'll be here mid-month. I really loved the added modes the game had where it has a quest and other stuff to really put more meat into the package other than just straight killing songs and moving along to the next.

The demo says that your records will get carried over to the final version (though it seems the demo doesn't even save you records anyway).

It also says that for playing the demo, you will be able to choose from more characters when you start a file in the full game. Those characters are likely the ones you use in the demo.

I loved the first game, but traded it in (at my cost price) to buy Animal Crossing. I miss it
So I'm certainly getting this. The limited edition is only £24 at Tesco atm.

That's the first thing my wife and I noticed. I also noticed that the green notes don't pass through the cursor in this one like they did in the first game. Instead, they seem to disappear when you're holding down the note.

I preordered it yesterday and paid if off in full. Whoo! Don't care for the preorder bonuses though.

Never played the first but I just played the demo of this one.

This game is a MUST HAVE and I'm not even really a FF fan. I'm just bummed I can't preorder it.

Button mode is amazing. No more worrying about silly touchscreen gestures!

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

I've been super hyped for it, especially after the announcement of the Legacy of Music Contest. I'm a big music person so naturally I entered the contest, and if any of you are interested I can post a link to it on YouTube though I forgot how to embed videos on here haha. I also love how the demo included songs from what many consider to be the best of the series: FFVI and FFVII.

Seriously, in two months alone, 3 major games that I've been hyped up for since the beginning of this year or earlier are being released: first Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (which is brilliant btw, I haven't been so gripped in a game's plot and gameplay in quite awhile!), then Curtain Call (which I expect will have loads of nostalgia-filled tracks), and finally, SMASH BROS!

As big as 2013 was for the 3DS, the 2nd half of 2014 seems even bigger,
