Japan is known for quirky titles like this, not so much in the States and elsewhere. Yes, it is Dissidia, and yes, it's Final Fantasy, but I just don't think that will be enough for it to get licensed outside Japan. Do I want it? Absolutely yes. But I'll more than likely have to buy a Japanese 3DS to do so.
Am I the only one who feels this way? I've just been very pessimistic about games coming out as of late.
I'm keen on the gameplay concept, but I don't like the way S-E is handling the release. In Japan it's more expensive than a standard game (despite being a spin-off) and already has DLC songs you can "buy". It feels like a decent game being used in a classic Square-Enix scam. People still gave the franchise a chance after XIII and XIV, they'll buy anything.
I think it'll be released here without a doubt, hopefully with a demo.

I guess I'm going to be the guy here who says I don't care if they do or not release it. Final Fantasy is a game about story and/or character development. Music games do not have those.
(actually, I'm going to be a bit sad if this comes out after SaGa 2 and 3 didn't)
