I'm pretty sure "Unleashed" is just a default codename until EA decide on a more original title (hence the blandness of the "Unleashed" font, and the fact that EA isn't acknowledging the existence of the game).
No more excuses. The 3DS is the perfect platform for a full fledged Sims game. They'd better give us the option to create larger families and control multiple households or I may consider making this Sims handheld game my last.
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"

I know what you mean! I hope that now that The Sims Division is under new management that they put the 3Ds to its full potential
I'm pretty sure it's an expansion for The Sims 3 for the PC. They already have World Adventures, Ambitions and Late Night. Pets were going to appear eventually. Looks fun, I'll get it once it's bug-free.
Judging by the trailer, it's going to be similar to The Sims 2: Pets as it will be released across numerous platforms.
The PC version of course will be an expansion pack; the Xbox360/PS3 versions will be virtually identical to one another; the Wii version will most likely be an adventure game due to the hardware's technical constraints; and the 3DS version will too be an original game bearing the same name.

It is. It's also for the PS3, Xbox 360, and 3Ds, but no Wii:(
Are you also getting The Sims 3: Generations this May 31st for USA and June 3rd for everyone else?
@george: In the computer they are just parts of the same game; but in consoles, since they cannot install big games, they release each expansion pack as a different game, often with enough different features to justify it.
Or if you preffer: It's not a sequel for The Sims 3, it is another game in the brand "The Sims 3".

Oh so they would just use your saved data on the system and expand it...I forgot Sims and other simulators often have expansion packs following.
