Either the download content isn't available in the UK yet, or I can't find where it's at?
I've heard one of the lessons is on pointilism, which I'd download straight away .. I love pointilism.

In Europe, we can't buy them yet. They did send a free lesson, though. Hopefully the DLC will be available soon (maybe next Thursday, or the week after that).

That's really odd since NA didn't get this game till way later and we had DLC day one.

If you are a decent artist, there is no point in having both. Personally I think Colors 3D edges out better. Not just because you can create 3D arr, but because it gives you the tools to draw more precisely. Also, while the controls may feel weird in the beginning, ir starts to make sense and the simplification of controls gives you greater comfort as you draw/paint.

My experience with Art Academy has been enjoyable so far. I do have Colors! 3D but decided to get the digital version of AA to learn how to draw better. Wgat I like about AA is that it successfully simulates drawing/painting for real. The various drawing instruments have a different feel depending on the paper you choose. It really does feel like you are using the tools as you would in the real world.

There are some problems such as the save feature and the inadequate zoom features but overall, still a great game.

I haven't touched Colors 3D anymore.

How many BLOCKS does this take up? (digital download) just curious...

Hey Everyone. Make sure you have the Spotpass Notifcation option turned on. I didn't realise mine was switched off, and I missed getting a free lesson. I switched it on yesterday and the free lesson arrived last night. I don't know if it's out in NA yet, but I thought I'd let everyone know so they don't miss out.

Yeah it's out over here in NA. I got the downloadable version of the game in the e-shop. I'll post my painting's on here later.

I made a custom lesson lol but I really messed it up bad lol.

irl you work from light to dark when using pastels. i don't know about the game, but i used to do many of my commissioned portraits in pastels (before i fell in love with coloured pencils).

Can someone please let me know how many blocks this game takes up as a digital download? (Trying to decide to download or to buy retail.) Thanks

Nevermind. I just read on another site its around 3000 blocks and takes 25-30 minutes to download. I think I'll buy the retail cart! That's alot of space!

I wouldn't mind attempting to do this on Art Academy. Can anyone format this picture so I can use it as a reference? I don't know the dimensions. I tried doing a bird earlier but it said the pic was the wrong size.
