You did a really great job at recreating the shiny transparent jelly-ness of the main body and the detail on the nuclei (organs?) and the fangs is truly amazing. Great job!
@Shiromikio Wow, you took milk out of a stone! The light and the texture came out perfectly! And your metroid is lovely! This really encourages me to try harder
@Morphtroid I'm still working on the lessons and will do my best to have enough confidence for free paint mode
@KaiserGX: I was considering making a custom lesson for the Metroid but it seems NAA doesn't allow me to attach exported images as stages? Instead of redo-ing it all over again, I've made the mini lesson in pdf and put it up on MediaFire for now. Not sure where to store it yet.

@Morphtroid: Thanks, I'm glad it's what you were looking for. Random weekly/monthly challenges would be a great idea! I'm currently in a random sketching phase so it'd be nice to have a topic to get the cogs turning, so to speak.
@Lilifish: Thanks. Actually, it's thanks to your comment about graphite pencils, I tried to use only the pencil set and learned something about them in NAA. There were times I would've liked to have a pencil between HB and 2B (2B looks much darker and since there's no pressure sensitivity, you don't get the lighter end of that pencil as you could with an actual drawing pencil), but made do with what's available.
Will anyone be interested if I tried to make a Paper Mario mini lesson?
@Shiromikio I had problems opening exported images with NAA. Even editing on Photoshop and renaming correctly it wouldn't open some images. So I upload in my Hatena Haiku page, and download it from the 3DS internet browser. Troublesome, but it's the only way I could find!
Thank you for creating the tutorial, already downloaded it! And I'd love to see your Paper Mario lesson!
I showed the Goomba lesson to my husband and he decided to give it a try. Here's a 5 minutes work result:
@Lilifish: No problem. The Goomba looks good! Terrific job considering it only took 5 minutes. Paper Mario mini lesson is done. If you're still interested, please add FC: 1118-1535-7131 so I can send it to you. Thanks.
Also, thanks very kindly for your compliments.
I've never had any art training after grade 7, and I've yet to draw twenty pieces on Art Academy, so I find it miraculous I can produce stuff that people find pleasing.
@Shiromikio I added you, so it would be lovely if you could send me the lesson you've made
@Dinsdale You're doing amazing works! I don't know if you will find my comment useful, but you can give you nice paintings more sense of depth adjusting the color tone (usually darker for things that are more distant) and giving more contrast to darker shadows (like in the dog neckline). But if your intention is a flat look, there's nothing wrong with it!
@Shiromikio I got your lesson, thank you! Didn't have time to try it, but I took a look through it and saw how it's very well done and explained. As soon as I finish it, I'll send you and/or post here.
@Barbiegurl777 The tree lesson was very challenging for me, thanks for sharing yours too!
It is possible to share free lessons from Nintendo between your friends!!! =D
I don't know if someone has interest in the Japanese one (this comedian in the main page of NAA), but I can send it! Also, it would be lovely if someone could send me the Goomba one.
Please do send the lessons you have. Added you
