Yeah, Download Play for the full game makes me very excited for this. Four Swords on Gamecube was truly great but a bit of pain to play, I'm glad we're finally getting something similar that plenty of people will be able to give a go.
...Farewell, Purple Link. We hardly knew you...
Anyway, I loved Four Swords-gameplay and the online aspect has me excited. I rather like the communication icons and if done right; the single player can be fun! I just hope the "levels" are varied.
Once a LuigiMan, now a Dreamy representation of the Goddess of Nature.
Retired Palutena Gem Provider. Mario Maker Levels
Maybe I missed it but did anyone play Tri force Heroes during the Best Buy E3 event?
I got to play for 6/7 minutes on the Saturday while waiting to play Super Mario Maker (which is awesome)
The brief rundown;
-We were each given a 3DS to use.
-We are able to select a costume; Spin attack, Princess, Bomb, Lucky, and some others. I choose spin attack however I did not use it at all.
-There were multiple levels to choose from. We all choose one and then it picks from the choices. Two of us picked random and one picked volcano level so thats what we did.
-The first section of the Volcano level presented us with three different subweapons. One for each of us. A bow, a boomerang and a gust jar.
-We were on a platform and had to use teamwork to make it across to another platform with 3 switches. First the arrow user had to hit a switch, then the Gust Jar person had to blow over the arrow Link and the boomerang Link across the gap. The floor on the other side was unstable and would sink so the boomerang Link had to quickly grab gust jar Link with there boomerang and then everyone had to get to a switch.
-The next section was a mini boss section. Bomb throwing monster on a rail car. First one and then after defeating him two more come out at once. No real use of skills or totems or anything in this level.
-Third section was our death section. The three of us had to push/pull a block around to move it to a spurting flame tower so we could stand on it and reach a switch. These was our only big problem. You needed to use all three Links to move the block. But if you lined them up all on the same side someone was toteming another Link instead of pushing. You really need to watch your prompts. Very frustrating. And we used up all our lives on that one.
All in all it was a very fun demo. Volcano definite seemed like a harder level. I am a little concerned about the controls. And how something like block pushing could be done when playing with people online and not able to talk things through. But I am hoping since we were dropped into one of the harder levels that maybe some practice and progressing with a team will get the chemistry and makes things easier.
I was just reading Wikipedia, and realized that in Japan this game is called "The Three Triforce Musketeers".
Now, if they only could use muskets in the game...
this game looks hella dank. Can't wait to get my hands on it! Purple Link was the best though, but I understand why he's absent. Also, I love the story idea that everyone is posing as the true hero. That's just a neat idea!

I find it amusing that the Urban Dictionary refers to that as a "stoner term", since I was thinking to myself, 'what the hell are you smoking, using a word like "dank" in a positive sense?'

But seriously, this game looks like it will be a lot of fun with friends. Even though I'm slightly disappointed there's no traditional overworld, it seems like there will still be a good amount of content.
Understood. I understand what you're saying, and just as general information, we do have a lot of female staff members who are playing this game and enjoying it. It doesn't seem to be a big issue to them. They still are getting emotional investment in this game. And to be honest, Link isn't the most masculine of guys in the world, depending on how you want to project yourself into the character.
Unreal. Is this an actual modern day video game company, or an episode of Mad Men?
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

I think the lack of playable female characters actually makes this closer to a modern video game company tbh.
