@Brewsky My thought is that it would be the same Link that went to Terminus as a child. He's basically an adult now and somehow gets dragged back. I'm not sure how it would fit in the timeline, but let's face it, they are really convoluted as it is.

Ok, that's what I thought. That would be placed in the Child Timeline. It would be simple to place it in; it would fit neatly between Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess.

The only caveat is that this particular Link has to die before he can teach another person his skills. Otherwise, Twilight Princess would lose continuity.

^Maybe he dies at the end of the MM sequel.. it would make for a pretty depressing ending, just like Twilight Princess.

We need another depressing Zelda. Ok, maybe we don't "need" one, but I want another dark Zelda like Majora's Mask. Twilight Princess wasn't dark enough.

Nevertheless it's still a remake. Nice to see that you like adult Zelda games but new installment to the series is always better than another remake. 3DS has more capabilities than N64, so why to hold it back?

The 3DS got Ocarina remake and a new game. I'm not sure why you think remakes will hold new games back

Furthermore, development of OoT 3D was mostly done by Greezo. It had little impact on games that Nintendo themselves were developing.

I couldn't fully enjoy Twilight Princess. It took me about halfway into the game before I felt like I wasn't forcing myself to play it. This may be partly due to playing it on the Wii with it's god awful controls, but the games first half was really bland. It did get better though and I have to admit that Midna is my favorite sidekick character from the franchise. TP also has my favorite ending, next to MM. They actually managed to make me care about Midna. It was sad to see her go.

I always recommend playing this game on the Gamecube, the tactile controls are understandably far more superior. Twilight Princess didn't work so well on the Wii because it took a game that had tactile controls and tried to translate it to a Wii Remote control. It just doesn't work. You have to base the game around the motion control, which is why Skyward Sword worked so well.

Yup. Skyward Sword is my favorite console Zelda next to MM. I love that game, I'm torn between wanting the next Zelda to fully utilize the gamepad and wanting those motion controls back, but with even better response.

Another thing that bothered me about TP was the over-world. I know a lot of people love it, but it felt.. TOO big and like I said before.. bland. It was just so dull, it felt like it didn't have any life. I didn't feel the need or want to explore it at all and every time I was forced to travel it, it felt like a chore. I know I should give TP another chance.. but I can't bring myself to do it. Maybe if I come across a really cheap GC version at a garage sale or something, I'll pick it up and try it that way.

Personally I hated this game back in the day but I find that nowadays for no particular reason I end up liking things I used to hate when I was younger. So I could give this game another chance.

I didn't like Wind Waker, in fact, none of my siblings did. But it took some time, and finally after playing through HD, I decided that this game actually wasn't bad and that I was too hard on it. Of course, it isn't my favorite, but my mind did change.
