I learnt that there are 24 different fishes in Majora's Mask 3D!! Man, this game is definitely better and bigger on 3DS. I really love it. Now I am dreaming of Super Mario 64 3D.
I don't know if they'd want to remake Super Mario 64 again. The DS version was excellent and really showed what a good remake is like. I'd be all for it, though, especially with the 3D and improved visuals.
But, back on topic. I noticed they fixed the placement of one of the trees you need to Hookshot on the way up to Ikana's main area. Before you could get up there without the Ice Arrows by standing at the very edge of the ground and just barely reaching the Hookshot to the closest tree. The tree is now farther around the corner so you can't reach it from that angle anymore.
Speaking of which, I need to start Stone Tower soon. Haven't played in a couple days.

Oh well but the DS version was worse-looking and the sound quality was worse, and the controls were worse... A 3DS remake would be awesome!
Back on topic, I want to get 100% of this game including the 24 fishes but I'm not in a hurry.
I never used the lottery in Majora's Mask. I actually completely forgot it existence. When I need rupees I grind the bushes at North Clock Town and when I have the Stone Mask grind the Giant Bird near the Southern Swamp.
Daddy do you want some Sausage?

Spoiler Alert: They moved the jewel so that you can just shoot it now without moving the blocks. This game is confirmed to be 1000x better

Something that surprised me too, is that I could pretty much walk in front of the guards when going for the beans/heart piece, one try, not caught once.
Was it because it was at night? Before they had their lines of sight visible at night, but maybe now they just become short-sighted?
In terms of collecting, no, but you can add it to the 100% to catch all the fish. Fishing is not required for any sidequests including hearts or masks
It seems pointless to consider fishing a requirement for 100 percent without any reward, but it still doesn't feel like I fully completed the game without catching all the fish. I don't think I'll bother, though. I was never a big fan of fishing in OoT, and the fishing in this game is pretty much the same.

They changed the goron race? I didn't notice any difference. The new Gyorg fight isn't too bad.
Just use the Zora boomerang to get him to swallow the mines during the second phase.
Heh, I literally JUST ran out of time in that fight. Thus I just lost everything I got in the temple, including the ice arrows, and I'll have to go through the entire thing again.
Seriously, how the hell did they think this is good game design? I can't remember ever being this frustrated with a Zelda game. The saddest part is: this could certainly be my favorite Zelda of all time if only they let you keep stuff like stray fairies when you reset time.
@ricklongo Did you start the temple on the first day after playing the inverted song of time? I always do that before starting a temple in MM, and have enough time to complete the temple while collecting all the stray fairies.
