Topic: The Great Things About The 3DS

Posts 1 to 20 of 31

Seeing as most the threads under the 3DS section are pessimistic I thought maybe some people could have a conversation about the GOOD things with the 3DS. After all its one if not the best handheld ever made and is a step into the next generation. Come on guys abit of positive discussion about the console would hurt now would it.

It seems to have an even greater ability to suck my time away from me than the DS did...and the truly great games haven't even hit yet! And the ability to fish without having to get my #ss off of the couch.

easier to name the flaws. because that is less to do.
-battery life
-stylus on the back

i think thats it

I prefer the stylus on the back as my stylus ket falling out of my ds lite

Besides the 3D graphics, I absolutely love the Circle Pad. It's about time Nintendo put an analog stick on a handheld and boy is it comfy! This will make controlling Mario, Link, the Arwing, and Pit a dream come true: smooth 360 degree control on the go!

I'm back (for the moment)!

Circle Pad in SM64, KH, DQ, and yes even the 2 Kirby games use it well

i just love the way it got into my daily life.
i got to work every morning, opening up my ds for streetpass, walking around with it. i end up my day in bed checking stuff around the 3DS applications. the console itself makes you do things, its not only about games. nice.
i really like the statistic part of it, where you can see your life beat and habits. the game and apps ranking,etc...

the screens are beautiful, even when i play ds titles that might look a little blurry at first, the colors are over the top.

I also enjoy being in the first and rare owner of it. i dont meet much of them around town yet.
and all the nifty things coming out in the near months feels like a kid waiting for its christmas toy. the web browser, the dsiware store, etc...

my only downpoints are:
1- the battery ,which will probably fixed one day. (nyko powerpak, new batteries from nintendo, etc.) But so far i dont mind it much neither. the place i will play for longer period of times, i can plug it direct in my wall anyway.
2- not living in tokyo so i can use the streetpass with all its glory
3- the music app is rather pointless when you have an ipod already. especially with the battery shortlife, i prefer using it for games and apps rather than music. again, this is nothing serious, and its better having it than not having it, isnt it ? it could prove to be useful one day.

with all it gives me so far, im totally satisfied. and more is coming too.

Circle pad ,circle pad ,circle pad. now for the pessimistic, sorry, it should have had two of em'

What's this bit for again?

I love the circle pad, the amped up graphics, the 3D effects, the friend list, the AR cards, Activity Log, Play Coins, StreetPass. Hell, I just love the whole thing. The flaws are far, FAR outweighed by the positives.

When I close my eyes, I see pixilated blood.

The circle pad, graphics, and upcoming software lineup are the reasons I (and many others) purchased the 3DS. The 3D is just an extra perk. Once top-tier games like Resident Evil, Metal Gear, Mario Kart, Dead Or Alive, and Kingdom Hearts launch, owning the system will be even better. I'm glad I purchased mine at launch, so I can afford games or the PSP2 later this year.

The can is open, but the worms are surrounded by fish hooks. Current faves: Batman: Arkham City, Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection

The 3D, of course, is amazing, but I'm in love with the Circle pad

I agree, i had the same problem with the DSi. I had to buy a new stylus because of that.

Oh and good things? 3D! i love the 3d, first i thought that it would hurt my eyes but it's perfect. Then the circlepad is awesome, and of course the promising titles that will be coming soon

The promise of amazing games. 3DS is having a shaky start that will soon pick up like it's predecessor.

So do I. The circle pad, the graphics and the fact it will be the first hand held to get a game with 10/10 score not even 3-6 months after it launched.

Formally Square-enixFan, Neo-GeoFan. A lover of fine games and handheld systems!!!!!!!!!!
The New 3DS XL is amazing, soon the NX will be upon us!
