Topic: The blue 3DS is ugly?

Yeah the more I look at the blue 3DS the more it seems kind of sissy. When I pre-ordered the words "ummm blue" just popped out of my mouth. I wish I go back in time and say "ummmm bl...ack!!"

I felt the same way when I pre-ordered mine. The person behind the counter actually looked genuinely surprised when I said "blue"!

Having seen both of them in real life, though, I much prefer the blue one. The black one seems kind of plain and dull to me while the blue one was vibrant and shiny, plus I already have lots of black gadgets and I want one a bit different!

Like I said before, the blue one really doesn't photograph well. You need to actually see one before you can pass judgement on it properly.

I think the blue looks good and is the "Proper" system color. Every Nintendo console and handheld I associate with a color (Gamecube = Purple, DS = Silver, Wii = White, etc.), and blue just seems to "Fit" the 3DS the best for me.

I've watched a few videos of both colours (mostly videos of japanese people unboxing) and decided I am gonna stay with the blue

I never picked a color but my receipt says Cosmo Black, and thats the one I want because I want my system all one color

I would actually take blue since it's the first Nintendo console that's been released of that color.

The DSi was blue.

And ( for me, anyways) the DSi is Blue. as is the 3DS.

but it wasn't shiny, right?

Having seen both the Aqua Blue and Cosmo Black 3DS systems in person, I think the blue is hands-down the best looking of the two and easily the best looking portable system Nintendo has ever released. If you're that interested in color, you should probably wait until you see them both in person to decide. Pictures don't really do these things justice.

To me both 3DS colors are perfectly fine.

To me black overall looks better, but I wouldn't say the Blue one is ugly or anything.

I wouldn't say the blue is ugly so much as it looks awkward.

I'll probably end up going with aqua blue. Turquoise is my favorite colour!

It's more like a shiny teal color instead of aqua blue. It is a pretty off-putting color to be honest.

If there was an orange color, I would be on that. Heck, a blend of Navy Blue and Orange would be sweet!

But Aqua Blue it is- since Blue is generally my favorite color. Black is too 'plain' for me, ironically. But I have nothing against it since I have a black DSlite

Sorry, Aqua Blue is better than Cosmo Black.

I do like the blue one; it is pretty sharp. Except for that really light blue on the bottom; that is some ugly blue!
