While the outside of the case - the one you usually see is this awesome shiny blue, the inside seems to be a flat, glittery slightly-turquoisey colour that's quite ugly.
I've already pre-ordered the Blue 3DS but I'm kinda considering changing to black..
I think that in photos it does tend to look ugly, but in real life it looks fantastic! If you can see a demo unit in person I'd recommend doing that before you change your pre-order.
I like my electronics to be black, but of course, I'm in the minority on this. Most of the replies you'll get on this thread will say the Blue one looks better.

This is going to sound biased considering I do like the Black one better, but I think the Black one looks better on the inside as well. The blue just seems to clash awkwardly with the black on the inside of the blue 3DS. The black 3DS has more of a dark grey on the inside from what I've heard, and that clashes a lot less than blue does.

I had a feeling this would happen. I say everyone would say they want Blue and the Black opinions start flowing in. Blah. If I left my comment at that, the Blue opinions would start coming, and if I said the Blue opinions would come then they wouldn't, and it's a never-ending cycle from there.
...unless I say it's a never-ending cycle, then the cycle will reverse just to prove me wrong once again and the black opinions will stay, proving me right, thus proving me wrong.
Black FTW. Ive played both systems and felt black was more me and professional. It was almost as if the blue looked a little tacky but maybe Im biased as I had pre-ordered a black before trying either system.
