The only people I know who hate it are just Sony-obsessed fanboys who refuse to let others enjoy their console of choice unless it's got Sony's name on it.
That, and people who only play games on their tablets and smartphones and are all like: "Why buy expensive games on a 3DS when I can download hundreds of free apps on my phone every week?"
I'm not a big fan of handheld consoles, usually. A kid I coach soccer with and am friends with his family got the XL for Christmas. He showed me it and his brother told me all about it when I was at their barbecue. I was instantly interested. Then my best friend brought her family down for a visit and her 5-year-old son had also gotten one. Between him, myself and his mom (not to mention the rest of the kids) - we were all arguing over it. All of us wanted a turn on his XL.
So I convinced my mom into getting it for me for my birthday. I LOVE this console! It's so brilliant. Awesome features and the games are phenomenal. Of course, all Nintendo products are brilliant.

The internet is generally negative towards the 3DS.
However, this is what the internet thinks of the PS Vita:
The internet is quite a bit more negative towards the PS Vita.
So the 3DS is definitely more liked than its competition, but it still has quite a lot of dislike...

good find, it "seems" like a reliable source and sources that look reliable are the best as everyone believes even if they're wrong(not saying it is wrong just saying that even if it was wrong people would tend to believe! )

@Volke93 I don't think so... it is true that the Nintendo hate has grown with the 2DS(that I decided I like but don't want) but the 3DS is fine on almost everyone's concept... there are haters, only something no one(literally no one) knows or imagines about its existance is not hated.... that is, something that according to BOTH science and religion does not exist..... sorry for talking about strange stuff! guess I went philosofical again....
