Topic: That's it iv'e had it! Goodbye Vita! Hello Yoshi 3DSXL!

After owning a Playstation Vita since it's launch i finally grew sick and tired of the constant drought of new games. Yes the Vita has some EXCELLENT games...but not many,many of which are ports or indies...even though i'm a self admitted Sony fanboy and PS1,2,3,4 owner i finally bit the bullet Sold my Vita and Purchased a Yoshi Special Edition 3DSXL model with Mario kart 7,Pokemon X,Super Mario 3d Land to start with.

Now just to buy a case and Accidental damage warranty.

Suggestions on hard cases are welcome,i already bought a hard travel case what i need now is "Armor" ? A hard shell for the system itself.

i started hating sony from the ps2 era and became a nintendo fan with the wii.
i have my 3DS since launch and i never use the hard case i got for free back then. instead a use a very soft little bag i got from nintendo club. no damages on my 3DS so far

From hearsay, I think Nerf makes some console cases for the 3DS...but I could be way off the mark with that though!

Too bad you had to sell the Vita, I am the sort who can't bear to sell any system I ever owned lol.

I'm waiting for Vita TV though, I'd like to play some of the exclusive JRPGs on the big screen, and the high resolution of the VIta might look pretty good.

That being said, I hope you enjoy your 3DS, I love mine!

lol before last year(the "3DS flood of games year of luigi") I almost "switched" my 3DS for a Vita XD

@Action51 It's not that i HAD to sell it to fund the 3DSXL purchase it's simply it has not recieved any use since...hell...Persona 4 golden? And not much on the horizon looks great either...and from personal experience the PS4 remote play is iffy at best. Love my PS4...the Vita?...I'm shocked they are bothering to focus on a new "slim" model before it even has a decent size Library of games.

Welcome to the family. I have a launch 3DS but I'm waiting for the right limited edition XL to upgrade to (battery life is getting on my nerves). A friend tried to sell me on the Yoshi one, but even though I like Yoshi, I don't love him enough to carry him everywhere. ><;

I hear you @ShadJV but the First Mario game with Yoshi was what really made me love mario. Not that i didn't love the NES original and even the terrible Atari game..but the SNES Mario world was definitely my all time favorite.

I am not lying, I actually bought a second 3DS being perfectly able to buy a VIta. I hate those expensive proprietary memory cards, and most of the games I can get them on PS3 instead. Plus I wanted to have an XL.

Fair enough, that was one of my first games (and an amazing game at that)! Enjoy your 3DS, there is admittedly a lot more gems on it than the Vita (which has a few but sadly hasn't taken off as well as the PSP).

@ShadJV Yeah it's really SAD i love sony Been a HUGE sony fan since PS1 still am..even the PSP which wasn't a record breaker held it's own! The PS Vita aside from the hardware has been a disaster. And the one last reason i held hope PS4 remote play...is "meh" at best.

Thanks but a carrying case isn't what i need,as i stated in the OP i already bought a official nintendo carrying case. What i need is a hard armor shell case that goes onto the 3DSXL itself.

Though I've been a Nintendo fan, Sony has been my side systems, have a PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP. I plan to get a PS4 in the future, but the Vita... Well, maybe Sony will turn it around, but right now I just don't see enough to warrant a purchase. Such a shame, because the hardware is great, it just needs more software. :-/

It's unfortunate the Vita didn't give you what you wanted. I personally love mine and have been using it every day since I bought it on Black Friday (mainly because I haven't played any of the ports or indies for it. That, and it's a fantastic multimedia device.)

I hope you have a good time with the 3DS. It's a good machine with a fantastic library of Nintendo games.

It's not so much it didn't give me what i wanted? More like not enough of it. Vita has some GREAT games the problem is many are ports many are indies.. and the truly unique experiences like Tearaway and Gravity Rush etc...are very very far and few between. If i can play it on my PS3/4 i just don't see the point of playing the same thing on a smaller screen. Who knows maybe i'll be dead wrong and with the launch of the slim they will pull a total 180..i wouldn't say i'd "never" buy another one but right now i'd have issues naming 5 unique high quality non indie non port games i loved. Shame too design wise with the hardware...i really can't find a single fault other than i'm not a fan of the rear touchpad.

@psxsage No, they probably won't pull a 180. They're focusing most of their efforts on smaller games, and most of the big ones will either be niche Japanese things or will be very few and far between. Based on your tastes, it doesn't look like you made the wrong decision.

I own both, and couldn't bear to part with either. Now my 360, on the other hand...

My Vita has been quite lonely since I beat Persona 4, but I know it will see better times.
