Topic: taking screenshots with the 3DS

is there a way to take screenshots from your games with the 3DS?

i have already tried it several times with the note-function on the homemenu. you can pause a game with clicking on the homemenu, going to the note-programm at the top of the homemenu and there you can draw notes for the game you are playing. you can even save these notes as photos on your sd-card, but only the notes and not the ingame screenshot.

so have you found a way to do it or is it impossible?

i cant believe it doesnt work. i mean it is not like it would be too hard to programm such function. the 3DS could easily handle that

Its probably up to the developer to add that function in the game.

Yeah, it is very possible. The DSi version of Rayman had a in-game photo feature. But as SmallTall said, it's probably up to the dev.

i just saw a video about the ps-vita on ign and they said you could take screenshots with the cameraprogramm while playing a game.

the 3DS should also have these feature. i would love to take screenshots of my favourite gaming moments...in 3D!!!

ah i think you dont understand me...
i am not talking about a feature in specific games but a feature the 3DS itself should have. the note-programm at the top of the homemenu (friendslist, browser) should allow that

When the 3DS was announced I hoped they would add this feature to the console itself, but the only game with something like that so far is Nintendogs, I think...

Being able to take my own in-game screenshots is one of my favorite features of the Vita.

@6ch6ris6 No, it's not possible for users to take shots of all games — there's a special piece of kit for developers/journalists to do that, but it's not open to users, other than in select games (Nintendogs, Pilotwings etc.)

You can actually, you just can't post them through the browser.
