Hello, i have bought a 3DS XL about 2-3 weeks ago and the wobble on the screen is driving me insane ... it feels like its about to fall apart and it feels like its getting worse, from the UK i am wondering if i can take it back to the store ( GAME ) and get a full refund or a regular 3DS, even though there is nothing wrong with it .. just the screen
So the question i am asking is will the store take it back ? i have all my receipts and i am in the 28 day returns policy GAME has. Thanks

You should be able to, but they usually will just give you a replacement of the same product, and not be able choose something else. Best Buy(not sure if these are in U.K.) gives you a cash refund or gift card, but it really depends on store policy.

Yeah I would call and check with the store. Some places like Gamestop here in the US once its open will only give you a trade in price. So be careful also some places like Fry's or Best Buy will only give you the same item you are returning once its open especially on electronic equipment. So yeah I would call the store first.

I've gotten full refunds from Best Buy that it's not even funny. I've returned TVs, headphones, A/V receivers(twice in one week once), controllers, etc. They always give me a full cash refund at the Best Buy I go to.
GameStop will only replace the same item where I live, and Walmart will do anything you ask depending on who's working. I'm thinking GAME will only replace it.

@Tasuki, @SCAR392: You kinda have to be careful and read the fine print on your receipts; places like Best Buy and stuff sometimes have a 'restocking fee' on electronics where if you try to return it and just get your money back instead of trading it for another item, they'll take 10% or so off the top of your refund. i know the three of us aren't in the UK, though, so we can't really speak for how JTY's experience is gonna go, but if anyone in the US is reading this and thinking of doing something similar, buyer beware. :3

@SCAR392: I dont know maybe its a state thing or even a store thing but I have never been able to get a cash refund from an open electronic item at Best Buy just a swap out.
@TBD: Its funny that you mention the restocking fee and I thought about it when I was typing out my first response but I was distracted by dinner being ready and forgot to type that part out.
But yeah I can't say how the policies work in the UK thats why I said the best thing to do is call the store first and see what can be done about it that way you have your options. I mean if push comes to shove you could always just post your 3DSXL on ebay and get the full price back that way as well and than buy a 3DS with that money.

That hasn't happened to me as far as I know, but good advice. I'll make sure to check sometime. They do put the stuff back on the shelf... One time I had to return a Wii remote to get something else more expensive for extra money to from another return. I ended up going back to Best Buy and rebuying the Wii remote I returned. It was even synced whe I brought it home, so I know for sure it was the one I returned.

@SCAR392: I don't think it's all electronics you get from there... like i said, you gotta read the fine print. I know computers and camcorders fall under the 'restocking fee' category though.
@JTY: hope this one works out for you, man, and enjoy LM2 :3
