For a system transfer, I know that all of your downloaded games and save data, as well as notifications and funds from the eShop transfer over, but I was wondering if Streetpass Mii Plaza content (such as the puzzle pieces and Find Mii progress, as well as plaza population), and the entries in the Activity Log carry over as well.

Basically, will anything from the initial system be left behind in the transfer? I want to make sure all of my game, Activity Log, and Streetpass stay intact. Thank you.

The MiiPlaza content defenitly gets transfered, i can confirm that, but im not sure about the activity log, since i rarely, if ever, use it.

All right, hopefully everything does get transferred because I like looking at the activity log sometimes.

Question I'm thinking about upgrading to an XL. I have a 16GB memory card in my current 3DS and if I transer content will that one just work or do I have to get a 16 GB one for my XL as well.

Also what happens if i'm transferring to an XL with a Game already installed. (plan to get the Mario Kart 7 XL)

I think it just transfers things on the system. If you want the stuff on your SD card, can't you just take it out and put it in the new 3DS?

@MetalMario Nope, since everything is tied to your eShop account, it knows what you have and haven't downloaded.

@Sony_70 I honestly don't know how that would work. Since it would transfer your downloads to the recipient console and the recipient console would send the Mario Kart 7 data to the original console.

It depends on how much memory you've used already. If it's below 8GB, then you could use an 8GB SD Card to transfer everything over to the new 3DS.

Simply put your SD Card into the computer
Copy all the folders you see on the first screen to a new folder
Put your 16GB SD Card into the computer and paste all those folders on to that SD Card
Plop it in your new 3DS and it should be golden.

From what I have heard the preinstalled game will be there after the transfer. You will have everything from your old 3DS plus the new game on there, You might have to go and redownload MK7 but it wont cost you anything.
