I thought we wouldn't need the Circle Pad Pro. We already have an idea of how the C-Stick could be implemented.
Simply hold the Circle Pad in a direction and press Y for instant smash attacks.

That's how I play on all the controls though. It's not really changing anything :O

The difference would be rather than charging the Smash Attack it would just attack. Now you don't have to charge the attack by hitting A and a Direction at the same time to do a Smash Attack, but not charging the Smash Attack makes it weaker than using the Smash Stick. The Smash button would also not require timing like for the A and Direction Smash Attack. You could in essence hold the button and wait for the player to get close enough then hit a direction, or be holding a direction and when close enough hit the Smash Button. There are differences and I think it would be a smart idea but with custom controls (like in Brawl) I think everyone will get to play exactly how they expect.

What makes me curious is that Sakurai said that the 3DS stages will represent a game on handheld consoles, and Balloon Trip is an NES title. Maybe they're not just bringing stages from Handheld games after all.

@Pit-Stain: Sakurai said that the 3DS version will mostly havestages from handheld games and the Wii U version will mostly have stages from home console games. I don't know where the source is, though.

I do like that this stage features the old school "leave on one side, come out the other" screen edges, and I'm sure with the flippers and the infamous fish that this will be a fun and chaotic stage. I can just picture people throwing Bob-ombs and other such items "off screen" and have them hit characters on the opposite side of the stage.

Beep.
That is all.

Yep. I still have it too. I'm surprised the stage was pulled from an ambassador title though.

This going to require a bit more skill for KO's seems like a tactical stage.

Balloon Kid was also a Game Boy game, so the series does have portable ties.

Anyway, I'm glad it loops in order to make K.O.'s more tactical.

Oh, man, I didn't think about the looping sides negating side KOs! That's quite clever. Now we'll have to KO someone from the top or bottom.

I kinda hope not... Maybe you can freely walk in one side and out the other but getting knocked into the side counts a KO. Much like how you can't KO yourself by jumping high into the sky (with a couple of exceptions).

Yeah, that's how I think it might work, too.
Although, it'd be interesting of you did have to KO someone by sending them through the top or bottom.

Reading that...

What if... Characters really can't be knocked out from the sides, but sending someone flying and looping around the stage eventually makes it hit one of the spinning things and that makes the character blast up or down, depending on their location!

Imagine a Final Destination version. x3
...Then again I guess they'd eventually get KO'ed.

I love Erica (Strike Witches), Eureka (Eureka Seven), and Tenma (School Rumble), stay away from them. xD
Update: Also love Yukari and Mizore from Rosario + Vampire.
Another Update: Also Yuuki...from School Rumble...
Yet Another Update: Also Amber and Xiao Pai from Rune Factory 4.

A final destination version of this would probably just get rid of the warping gimmick I guess.
