@Gioku Well, apology accepted, if that was one... I didn't mean to be rash. However, I don't know how I forgot that they were the same. Sometimes knowledge commits suicide in my brain... Oh well, thank you for re-teaching me!
i loved super mario galaxy. best gameplay i have ever experienced and i guess my second favourite game of all time (nothing can beat MGS for me).
i dont think a port/remake/wahtever for the 3DS would be a good idea because it would like the motion controlls.flicking the wiimote for launching off those starts was just fun. or flicking it for a spin in mid-air was cool too. it gave the game something more than normal controlls would have done. sure you can move your 3DS to controll mario on a ball but then you would loose 3D and it wouldnt feel so good like using your wiimote.
I think a sequel could work fine on the 3DS. Of course, the Wii U is more graphically powerful, but the 3DS has some power of it's own. I think it could live up to the precedent set by the prior galaxy games.
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.
No Everyone wants 64.2 Sunshine 2 Galaxy 3 Here's what super mario unverise it will combine elements from 64 Sunshine Galaxy Such as Mario Will Be like he did in 64 and he will have Fludd on his back and He the playforming would be like galaxy Of course this would be on Wii U and I would like Sunshine ported to 3DS And super mario galaxy 1&2 ported to the Wii U in HD
Am I the only one who thinks it would be awesome to play Super Mario Galaxy in 3D on the 3DS? Whether they port one, both, or package and port both in one card, I'd be completely satisfied! I'd probably shell out $60 for both in one card! Maybe $30 or $40 each for just one. And as for a sequel, well, I'd pay about $40 for that, too. What do you think? Would you pay this much? What would you like to see in a sequel or maybe added to a port? It's one of my all-time favorite games on any Nintendo system.
I dont remember were the article is but when making 3Dland the first thing they did was post galaxy on the 3DS and see how it would feel. The general censuses was that they had the pull the camera to far back to make it look right on the 3DS so the idea was scraped. I think if I was to see anything on the 3DS remake mario wise, I really would like Sunshine to get the treatment more then anything.

i always loved Super Mario Galaxy, i see no reason it couldn’t be on the 3ds, it may not be as visually appealing but I️ really just want to play the game, and for the motion controls which are used on the wii version, they could always used the back trigger things on the 3ds, I️ really think it’s possible. But now there’s a switch
I don't remember where I read it, but when designing a 3D Mario platformer for the 3DS (which ended up being Super Mario 3D Land), one of the first things they did was run Super Mario Galaxy on the 3DS screen - and they discovered that Mario ended up way too small. So this led them to try and figure out a way to make a 3D platformer with a relatively large Mario on the screen; and Super Mario 3D Land was born. So I really don't know if the 3DS is really optimized for Mario Galaxy. But that's just me.
Yep, they definitely said something like that.
It's clearly true if you think about it. You need a certain amount of screen space just for basic things like being able to judge a jump, not to mention for seeing details in the environment.
You combine that with the spherical planets and to fit it on the 3DS they'd either need much smaller planets, or just zoom in a lot more so you can see a lot less of the surrounding area. Both seem bad compromises.
