No, this isn't as simple as adjusting the depth slider. You can actually make the choice to either have Mario closer to you - "outside" the screen - or deeper "inside" the screen.

Awesome. I'm going with closer definitely. Seeing pop-out on the 3DS screen always amazes me every time.

Oh. Well I guess that's moderately useful.

I noticed that little indicator in the corner of some of the recent videos and wondered what it did; good to have confirmation of its purpose.

Now this is interesting. Perhaps this game is treading more new ground than we thought.

I think it's more like "one or the other". (Which is better than adjusting it manually, IMO.)

So, would this also change the distance between Mario and the camera?

This will mark only the second time I've seen 3D-specific options. The other would be Xevious, which has quite a bit of 3D customization on the settings screen.

The only game I own is Excitebike where you can change the level of the 3D effect, to make it deeper or bring it closer to the screen. It's under Options somewhere. So I'm guessing it'll be something like that?

That is amazing. That is truly amazing. I'm guessing that they used the "deep" mode for the trailers, because I was at first disappointed with the 3D effect. But this is great.

I...erm......ugh, I wanna see a demo of this feature thing now. xD
