In a screenshot of Level 1-1 on the map screen, it showed a grassy area with a Goomba, Cheep-Cheep, and colored blocks straight out of Super Mario Bros 3. But, in the latest trailer of 3D Land, level 1-1 shows a pink and white structure that greatly resembles Princess Peach's Castle. I would really like to know, since Nintendo Life just played through the first two worlds, if 1-1 takes place at or near Princess Peach's Castle. If it does, then color me excited.
From a preview of SM3DL I read recently in NP, 1-1 was apparently locked and unable to be played. Chances are Nintendo is probably still deciding what would be the best opening level possible for SM3DL. I'm sure it won't be that big of a deal; screenshots were likely from various points in the game's development.
@Birdman13 I think 1-1 is probably going to be Peach's Castle. Or at least I hope it is. Wouldn't you think the trailer is more recent? Also, if they locked the level from playability, it probably will be a big deal. I hope they go with Peach's Castle. It'd be cool if they had like a little homage to SM64's hub world.
