Topic: Super Mario 3D Land Classic Suit Predictions

Yoshiaki Koizumi has previously mentioned that more classic suits are going to be in Super Mario 3D Land. I think it will be the Frog Suit, but it would be great if it was the Kuribo's Shoe, or the Hammer Bros. suit. I would also like Nintendo to switch things up a bit and make a Boomerang Bros. suit. What do you think? Which suits do you think will be in SM3DL, and which ones do you want to return?

I'd be happy with the Frog suit but, The Hammer Bros. suit would be fantastic!

A Boomerang suit would be great for the Zelda themed level.

Flying Cap Mario would be awesome. Excellent throwback to SM64 along with Invisibility and Metal Mario. Bring the 3 Red, Blue and Green boxes plz.

I'd like the Hammer bros. suit, ice flower, cloud mushroom and wing cap.

While the wing cap would be amazing, I wonder how it would work in SM3DL's environments. Other than that, I completely agree.

I can see what you mean as SM3DL will be more linear than SM64 (unfortunately) so maybe it would just be used to finish levels quicker or find hidden areas.

Yep, that's exactly what I meant. Anyway, anyone disappointed that you can't fly with the Tanooki Suit?

I sure am. Now it acts as Cloud Mario (kinda) with the floatiness. But I'll take it.

Penguin Mario and Ice Flower would be cool.

Definatley da penguin suit and i d like the idea of a boomerang for zelda themed levels also id like to see a new suit like a camo shroom so ur enemies couldnt see u and u could just run rite past them

Actually, I'm only disappointed that it can't turn into a statue.

If only the ground pound was turned into the Statue when you're in the suit lol Knock everything out.

The Goomba/Kuribo's Shoe needs to make a comeback. it is seriously the most amazing power-up ever created. I can't help but smile when hopping around on that thing.

Agreed! Also, Kuribo's shoe also made an appearance in one of the seldom-seen eReader levels added to Super Mario Advance 4 (in Japan only). See video.

There was a hilarious nod to it in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.

If SMA4 ever hits the eShop, we NEED to get those downloadable levels. Super Cape+Ace coins+Giant Vegtables+Giant Shoe+Boomerang Suit+Brand New airship level= . It's like were getting Super Mario Bros 4 in the form of a bunch of cards.
