Its looking more and more like SM64 combined with SMG and I can't wait to see more when nintendo have their e3 conference. Some of the backgrounds and textures don't look as good as I expected so I wouldn't be surprised if it gets delayed to next year.

The Life Meter looks way too colorful.
The background doesn't look right, and I doubt we would see a goomba walking around in the middle of a boss fight. The ? blocks are oddly placed, and the image is blurrier than those leaked Project Cafe screenshots.
Both the screen shots just seem, well, off. The Petey Piranha plant one has an odd angle view (new way to play! Mario is positioned not directly behind the screen, but off to the right of the screen!)

I know this game will be worth buying and all, although a little something here kinda bugs me; When we all saw the original logo with the tail, I thought back to raccoon Mario, (and how the 3's logo had the raccoon tail and ear) and not necesserily tanooki considering that's more the iconic image Super Mario Bros 3 had on its cover, so shouldn't that same leaf turn him into raccoon Mario, not tanooki? I mean, the only other real difference tanooki had was to turn into a statue, but has anyone ever found that to be really useful before vs the other suits? Also, to whoever mentioned this earlier about calling it 4, I'm pretty certain it was implied back then that 4 was Super Mario World, Besides, there's no 3rd Galaxy/3D game in this particular playstyle, so 3D is most suitable here.
Words cannot describe how excited I am about this game. It's the way I've always wanted a 3D Mario game to be... thanks so much whoever's idea this was!
