I use a 32GB SanDisk 4 Class and I absolutely love it. Regardless of size, I would stick with SanDisk. They've never let me down. My old card was a 32GB Kingston 10 class and it was CRAP!!! I don't know if it was the class or the class or the brand but it ran SO SLOW!!!!! In order to read a SwapNote it took like 15-20 seconds of loading it up and then ANOTHER 10-15 seconds just to MARK IT AS READ!!!! So the moral of the story is, buy a 32GB Class 4 SanDisk and you will be happy

I also use a 32GB Sandisk, and I also absolutely love it. It works prefectly for me; no problems whatsoever!

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

I currently don't have enough money for a new SD card, but I may have to look into getting that one when I do!

@Gioku: Well luckily not only is it a great SD card but also quite cheap! You can grab one right now on Amazon for just 28 dollars (plus free shipping since its over 25 dollars!).

@6ch6ris6: Just get the blue 32GB Class 4 SanDisk SD card and be happy

Thanks &bboy2970! I don't need a new SD card yet but my memory on my current one is dwindling so probably sometime in the summer I'm gonna get a new one. Plus I needed to know how much I needed to save up and you answered that; looks like a good card! Thanks!

I think the more important question you should be asking is what brands caused problems on your 3DS?

There were a couple of brands that were reported to have caused problems on the 3DS. Unfortunately, I can't recall the brands.

I've been using a Sony brand and I've had no problems.

I'd go for a class 6 32GB SDHC card.

I am in the market for a new SD Card for my 3DS. I have the 4 GB Class 4 that came with my XL for now. But I want a higher capacity.

Doesn't the class represent how fast the card is? So wouldn't something like a class 10 have things load quicker? When I turn on my 3DS, it takes a few seconds for things to appear on the home menu that are from the SD Card. I assume if I had a faster card, that delay would be shorter?

I'm thinking about this one: http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Extreme-Class-Memory-SDSDX-016G...

I have an 8GB SanDisk SD card. It's awesome! No problems whatsoever. I have downloaded lots of stuff from the eShop (although no retail downloads) and I still have plenty of space on that sucker. xD

You're correct about the class meaning speed. That one you posted should work very well.

I have a 32gb Sandisk one that only cost me $20 on Amazon. I still have tons of space on it.

Go for a Class 10 if you can afford a little extra. I got a 32 GB SDHC Class 10 from Transcend. Was well worth the money.

@Knuckles
I'm not sure about failure rate, but I've seen it as well. I think it gets you around 900,000(128gb) blocks. That basically the Wii U's equivalent of 2TB, because console games obviously take up more space.

I use a Lexar 32GB class 10 SD card with a 20mb transfer rate. They go for around $30 since there seems to be a sale constantly...

I use a Class 4 (maybe) 32GB Sandisk, and I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. However, an older Card I had been using, an 8GB C4 Lexar one, would occasionally stop being read by my 3DS mid-gaming session after I had been using it for ~9 months. That sucked when it happened.

Exactly.

Considering I get most of my games physically, I expect my HP 16 GB card to last a while.

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)
