The new 6-tag relay update is working now, but you won't necessarily get 6 tags till 6 people visit, as I guess they didn't store all the previous data.

Well I guess its no big deal for me since its never really worked for me! Sad really as I've been to about 7 different McDonald's a Starbucks and Best Buy and nothing but 2 street passes early on withn the first week now nothing in about 50 visits since.

Oh, man, it looks like you can only tag people that have visited the relay since your last visit, so this is still going to suck for locations that get less than 1 tag a day, and here I was hoping this update was going to fix it so that you'd at least get the last 5 people again after 8 hours if you were the last person to tag the relay.

This is stupid considering you live in a place where your lucky to get 1 a month. They should have some kind of online connectivity for people who struggle to get hits

A little while before Nintendo started the relay thing, I drove around town with my 3DS. I parked outside a Gamestop, Best Buy, and maybe Starbucks. When I got home, I had only one hit. Funny thing, I was driving through a neighborhood, and a guy was getting into his car and he was by far the closest person I passed. I'm thinking it was him and the other stuff was a waste, because the Mii even looked sort of like him!

This past weekend, I walked around Best Buy and got nothing. I'm in the Dallas suburbs, so I have to think they've got the relay thing happening. There was a guy walking out, playing his 3DS XL as he walked. I got as close as I could without it being weird, but nothing.

I'm only in it for the Animal Crossing houses at this point. Maybe, if this BB is participating, someone got my house.

If you're struggling to get relay hits, I found that if you open up your 3DS and wait for the nintendo zone player to flash blue, then go to the plaza and go to the games, it'll push the hit through.

They must both be in sleep mode to get the hit, I believe. As for the Best Buy thing, aside from the fact that the store sucks anyway, it probably won't reach to the parking lot, signal strength for wifi modems can be limited within the settings and most businesses will limit those to within the actual store to prevent leeching the signal. My local Starbucks has it limited to just outside the store, they have outdoor seating sometimes and in this area leeches are pretty much not an issue anyway. The local Target has it limited to only within the store. The local Gamestop is in a mall so I haven't even checked the range on that.

I went in the second time, but I just kind of walked back to the games section and then walked out. Maybe not enough time? Is there a list of all businesses that are Nintendo Zones? I didn't know about Target.

On the 3DS itself, there is a finder, as well as a search online. You may just live in one of those rare voids, where there are few, if any, 3DS owners who carry their systems with them. That would suck, and Nintendo sympathizes with such plights as well but they can only do so much. Honestly, I have no recommendation for such a situation.

@KittenKoder No they don't have to be in sleep mode to get a pass. As long as the WiFi light is flashing you can get one. Now if the other person was playing a ds game then no you can't get a pass even if in sleep mode. Also I've done drive bys at Gamestop before and got the pass. The one by me has the 3ds by the door. Problem is I might not get one if someone else inside has one!

Also I've had game passes before but not plaza. I've noticed a lot of people don't set their plaza mii up so maybe that person didn't have his even up and running!

They don't need to be in sleep mode to tag unless you have an Internet connection, but you'll have an Internet connection at Nintendo Zones, so that's why your system needs to be in sleep mode to tag the relays.

Since Tuesday everytime I have gone to McDonalds I have gotten 2 to 4 Streetpasses, I think that the up to 6 hits that Nintendo mentioned has started.

I went in McDonald's and a couple of Gamestops today. I got two people in my Mii Plaza and one house in Animal Crossing from someone different, as well as a few things for NSMB2 and MK7. Don't know if it was the relay or actual people present.

McDonalds is on every corner where I live. I was able to get ACNL Fedora chair, but no actual streetpasses. What gives?

Everytime I go to McDonald's I get connection errors and that's about 5 different ones!

I was surprised to read on Nintendo's site last night that Razzoo's is a Nintendo Zone (probably just means they call their router attwifi), so I ate their tonight. I then loitered outside a McDonald's, walked closely past a Starbucks and AT&T store, and went in a couple of grocery stores. When I went home, my green light was on and Animal Crossing had a green dot (yay!). I haven't had a chance to see how many and what I got. Is it possible to get multiple homes in the HH Showcase at once? Could someone tell me the name of today's Nintendo spotpass resident in New Leaf, because there was nobody there for me earlier and I want to differentiate between them and any streetpasses.

Birdman

This past Saturday, when I was at the Texas State Fair, I hit at least 4 different Nintendo Zones that sent me 6 StreetPasses (or however many they could at me before various limits were hit) each, so I can confirm that at least some multiple hit relays are working.

Exactly.

Theres actually an easy way to find out what you got and when. hit the little green box at the top of the bottom screen, that will tell you which games were streetpassed and how many. tap the games bar and it will also tell you what time and day you received the streetpass for that game. So if you remember what time roughly you were at each place you can tell where you got each streetpass.

I went all over with my 3DS today and got bupkis. I went in a Dallas Best Buy. Nothing. I'm beginning to agree that Best Buy is a complete streetpass bust. I think I had my best luck walking past a crowded Starbucks the day before.

I saw the notifications, and it helped. It didn't narrow it completely down, but it helped.
