I've seen these minigames and i too think they're a very clever motivation to make you carry around the system everywhere you go. It should be fun and really give you some kind of strong community feeling. I just guess it will be really hard for me to find many people Street Passing. Maybe i should really revisit gamescom this year.
But i've got a few questions about this.1) When you meet someone can you only use his Mii once in the RPG game ? Do you have to meet the same guy again before you can use his Mii in a new battle ? And if you meet him again after you've lost him will he only be at level 1 ?2) Do you have to defeat all of the beaten enemies again after you game overed ? I mean except for the light magic thing you wrote about, ImDiggerDan. (Which i think sucks a lot.)And yes i know you can use "walking coins" too. I just don't wanna use that option over the "Mii way".

1) Yes, only once per meet. But it's in your plaza so it will level up when you meet him multiple times.2) As far as I can tell, you can't die in Street Pass Plaza.
When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth.

@LTD - As Sneaker says, you don't lose progress in this game. When you get more heroes (via StreetPass or by spending play coins) you continue from where you left off. If you meet a Mii you've met before (they will be in your Plaza already) they level up.
There is no game over, your heroes get fatigued (when using magic) or scared off (when they fail to defeat an enemy and the enemy retaliates). I'm assuming after you are rescued then it's game over and you get to start again. There may be more than one mission, I've reached the final room in mine and don't think I have 50% of the hats yet. I'll update as I find out!

I have another update ive noticed in my unusable miis first encounters problem. Now when i look at my mii's in my plaza lobby all the first encounter ones seem to stand behind my friend at work (4th encounter now) after i use him he goes in line with the other 3 people ive encountered on a street pass only once. Does this help at all? Or should i just delete all my mii plaza info and try to restart it all and see if that helps?

Were you able to use the 4th encounter in the game? If not, I have no idea what's going on an maybe a delete will help. If you were, then all is as it is supposed to be, don't delete!

Yes i could use him after the second encounter but people that i encounter only once i cant use. They appear in the plaza lobby but i can use them in the rpg game and i never met them on the puzzle road. So my main question was do you have to encounter the same person more than once for them to be usable in the plaza games?
108. Posted: Thu 31st Mar 2011 15:45 BST
Nope. I suspect you met them in the plaza the first time and then exited the game, expecting them to still be available for the quest/puzzle swap. If something else happened, I have no idea what that might be. The same thing happened for my wife on her first encounter - she didn't go into the quest straight away and lost out.

oh so you have to do it right away after the greeting? Yeah i usually go through the greeting shpeel and then exit out. But when i meet my friend at work he stays available if i exit out and then re-enter.

I think it depends on whether you close the software fully down (exit it or load something else) then it goes away. If you just suspend the software and then resume, they stay. Seems a bit of a silly setup, but I guess it's to limit the number of heroes it has to process at a time and to avoid you having the same Mii in the quest attack party multiple times.

Ah ok well that solved that quandry i had there. Thanks Digger now i know to use them right away and not close out of the program until they've been used.
Now today im seeing how any times my work buddy pops up on my system as far as the time limit goes i got him right at the start of the day at 8am. Its been 2 hours and not a second hit yet so well see the time limit/encounter limit here.

No. It's someone in my auditorium history class though apparently because I got another hit today and it's always in that class. So neat!

Someone was asking about how many times you could get a hit and the time period in-between. I'm at work and i've gotten 2 so far 1 in the morning then it took 4 hours to get the second hit from him. So we'll see if i get a third before work gets over with.

I'd like to do this StreetPass stuff but...Doesn't keeping your 3DS in sleep mode for extended periods of time cause long-term damage to the battery? That's what I've heard about DS's in general..

there is thread people are debating it. i am also scarred but since it it li-ion it should work when putting it to charge no matter how the battery is. guess i will try that now instead of letting it die and then charge it.
