Nice. funnily enough, the only group in Norway is in Fetsund, 20 minutes away from my house. Small town, about the size of an apartment's lawn. 0 members, so no idea what the logic was in that

I think it automatically figures out where you are and brings up the nearest town to try and get you to start one. Because it did that for me.

Ive already posted streetpass opportunities here but becasue I was actually doing something specific to the Nintendo 3DS Streetpass day my topic was locked?!? The whole point being the Streetpass day rather than just being an actual streetpass opportunity.

StreetPass Day is tomorrow! Who here is going, and how many people in your city are going? My city has 9 3DS fans with 8 attending. I'm super pumped to get those tags and play some multiplayer!

Got 4-5 people confirmed attending, once you add my FC I normally sent invites via letterbox.

Wow I got 8 in the mall here in Maryland. Wasn't expecting so much.

@GentlebenUK - Have you had luck with those Meetups? The one I was trying to get going in Derby fell through, that website just doen't get enough action to keep it going.

I will be honest and say it is very hard work. I've done 3 so far:

The first one was New Years Eve, I sat solo in the food loft and had 1 streetpass from a guy called dave who said he could attend, but on the day he couldn't stop.
The second one I would have had 2 people, but someone had party plans, so it was just me and another friend.
The third one is this weekend, if everyone attends there will be a total of 5 people me included.

The problems is people don't RSVP via the link to the site, so when you visit it it looks like no one is coming.

Other issue is you can post on gaming forums boards and hardly anyone takes notice. I tried to get Nintendo Scene and Nintendo life to advertise it on the news section and both never bothed to reply via email.

I also posted on the facebook wall for Nintendo scene to have it removed -they claim to promote streetpass, but make it very hard work,

I used to pay a subscription fee via www.meetup.com and ran a DS: Birmingham meetup group (like DS London but a lot smaller) However the costs, frustration and lack of support made me stop it.

When I ran the DS Birmingham meetup group, I printed off flyers trying to see if Game/Gamestation would put ads in their store windows and they refused. Unless you have friends in high places promotion is really tough for the small guys. Sad but true...

Well I probably would have been able to go to Birmingham to Street Pass ya, but I already have plans on Sunday. Pity. I'll join your group anyway in case you decide to have another on a day where I'm free.

i think these meet ups would be better during the warmer months tbh, more people would be happier to come if they didn`t have to face the cold weather.
another thing that`s worth doing is to go to expo`s for street pass hits. here in london we`ve got tht MCM expo at the exell center in may and october, and the eurogamer expo at earlscourt in september.
MCM expo also does a shows in birmingham a couple of times a year too.
