I have the same problem, I live in Amsterdam and I never get any streetpass, only of my 2 friends who own a 3DS :/

dude why would anyone do that you should quit your job the burgers there are plastic and thats what 92% of americans and others are putting in their stomachs everyday. its like eating toys or tupperware o_O im not lying thats true info look it up.
I live in Los Angeles, California and it seems that there is absolutely NO ONE else in my area who owns a 3DS and is an avid gamer (at least in my age group anyway). I'm in my late 20's and I absolute refuse to game with kids. Does anyone know of, or host Street Pass events in Los Angeles? If so, please advise, thanks.
Also, being that I have difficulty finding other gamers, I rely heavily on online gaming. If anyone would like to exchange their fc, I own DoA Dimensions, Street Fighter 4, Tekken, Heroes of Ruin, RE: Revelations, and Mario Kart 7.
dude this is the 3ds were talking about of course your going to have to play with kids who do you think your playing with on wifi? I admit im not exactly geared into kids myself completely defeating the fact that im still young myself but..seriously? o_.

Let me clear. When I say that I refuse to game with kids, I mean knowingly or intentionally. I'm not naive to the fact that there are children who are online (especially with a Nintendo handheld system), however, there is no way that I would approach a child and ask them for their fc or initiate a street pass. Hence, the reason for this post, which is to find other gamers who are closer in age and more relatable to myself. Also, this post is geared more so towards street pass, local multiplayer and actual real life interactions between people. The mention of online play and the exchange of fc's has been in past , and currently is merely a substitute and has been the result of me not being able to find other gamers who are my actual peers.
