Does anyone else feel that this game hasn't gotten nearly as much attention as it should? I bought it this past weekend and have not been able to put it down. The story and voice acting are fantastic, the combat system strikes a perfect balance between intricacy and easiness to learn, and the art direction is captivating. In all honesty, I haven't been this into a JRPG since Xenoblade Chronicles.
However, I see very few discussions about this game. No walkthroughs, little publicity...it's really a shame :/
I hated the demo, so I won't be purchasing it, but if it makes you feel better, GameFAQs is full of people who LOVE that game and think it's the best SRPG on the system.
I gave the demo a try and it was pretty solid. I quite enjoyed it. I just couldnt save through the whole demo (it took several hours), so I am wondering how often you can save in the actual game XD

Considering it's now rediculously rare and goes for more than its intial release price of $50 on Amazon and occasionally eBay (though I think those listings I saw were the 'day 1 editions' that came with extras packed in)...no. No it is not underappreciated.
Also, I'm going to pretend you're the person who reserved the copy I was about to get from the only Gamestop in a 50 mile radius of me that still had a copy last week, just before I got there, and now I shall direct my rage towards you:
<.<
...and now I'm done.
To me its one of those games that I wouldnt want to pay full price for and its quite unlikely to get it cheap anytime soon or probably even at all.
Bought too many games this year, again. So my backlog has increased once more.
Stella Glow is really good- best SRPG on the system aside from Fire Emblem.
I was raving over this game at launch- I think people were let down by Legend of Legacy and that resulted in ignoring Stella Glow, which is unfortunate.

Stella Glow is a very nice game. I remember at the time I certainly was put off by Legend of Legacy, and was angry at the handling of Fire Emblem Fates, so I bought Stella Glow instead.
How good is it? Well if I'm honest I don't think the strategy is as satisfying as Fire Emblem. I loved the bawdy, laugh-out-loud humour, although it does get a bit wordy as it goes on.
I just got to the second battle of the final chapter. Have to say I think this is one of the greatest SRPGs I've ever played. The characters and story are extremely well-done, and although the first chapter (embodied in the demo) starts a little slowly, the story quickly picks up. I also love how the game encourages you to make investments in characters during free time in order to make them more useful. I found Popo and Archibald, in particular, become uber powerhouses once their affinity is maxed.
I wound up on the path for the "true" ending of the game by accident, and figured that I might as well play it out. Not sure how that's going to affect my motivations to do a second playthrough on New Game + mode, though the ability to see all the other character's affinity conversations may put me over the edge.
PS: if I loved Stella Glow, what other 3ds/eshop RPGs would you recommend? is Legends of Legacy really that much of a bore?
I enjoyed the demo enough to buy the full retail game and will definitely pick it up. I have not played the legends of legacy demo but am planning to , if for no other reason than to see why it has left such a bad taste in people's mouths .
I recently got this game not actually knowing anything about it, in fact had i known anything about it i wouldnt have bought it because im not a fan of story driven games, i like more action less story but i have to say im hooked on this game right now and the story is fantastic, shame not many people know about it.
@Pokefanmum82 Its great, although im finding out now you do have to grind alot to get your characters upto a decent level for the battles (which tell you a recommended level before you go into them) pokemon style i guess, but i find myself doing battles just to level up more than im playing the story right now, dont let this put you off though as its a great game.
I found the retail game at a good price so I jumped on it but havent played it yet because my backlog is too big. I am turning into a digital 3ds game hoarder rather than a gamer.
I got tired of trying to find a physical copy at a reasonable price and bought it from the eshop during a sale. I definitely agree that Stella Glow is underrated.
