This really looks great. I like the three different modes, and the first one they show in the trailer reminds me a lot of the SNES game, Hunt for the Red October, which is not an unflattering comparison.

I don't think it's going to get great reviews, simply because it's not a universally appealing game. Appears to be a very "niche" kind of title. Not a bad thing from a gameplay standpoint, but I wouldn't expect gushing reviews.

[16:44] LztheBlehBird: James doesn't know the rules? For shame!!!
Yawn...that looks so dull it's untrue.Still I'll see what the reviews are like before I completly rule it out.
This. Except I have already ruled it out. Its a game about submarines. That should he enough to turn anyone off. The only reason it gets any attention is because its one of a very small number of games being released for a hot new system.
This game will be forgotten forever. Especially, when more interesting titles hit the system.
Also, I want to be honest...I kept reading the title as "Steel Driver". xD
Wait what!?! You're telling me it's not steel driver!? I've been reading it like that since the game was first revealed!! ...My vision must be worse then I though. Hope I can still see the 3D!

Speak for yourself? Submarines are cool. Just because it doesn't have spiky hair kids in it doesn't mean that nobody will like it.

This is very true. Definitely looks like the kind of game that isn't immediately rewarding, and therefore I can imagine a lot of people won't really give it a chance beyond a couple of tries, while others who take their time with it may find a very enjoyable experience.
Here is the IGN Review of Steel Diver: http://ds.ign.com/articles/115/1156374p1.html EDIT: This review, personally, did not help me decide whether the game was worth a purchase or not. It really didn't give a clear explanation of what the game offers. It really didn't explain the other 2 modes at all. The reviewer only gives a sentence about the other two modes, and doesn't give you her opinions on them, so I assume she didn't even play them in order to rush this review out. I didn't like this review. It wasn't the least bit helpful to me. Bah Humbug!
I'm liking the multiplayer mode, but I'm disappointed that they didn't integrate it for the mission mode. Two more reviews for Steel Diver. Joystiq Gonintendo Read the reviews and I am interested in what I'm reading. A sub simulator/action game with an immersive atmosphere. The only thing that keeps me from impulse buying it is the game's length which has seven missions only, excluding the other two modes. Still, I'm looking forward for playing this game in the future. I know that this game wont have a large fanbase, or rather, many people will dismiss this game for what it is, which is kind of a shame. Hopefully Corbie's review would help my decision.
