I thought it was actually better than the original. The graphics are improved and the dialogue is the same without being as cheezy. The tutorial is nice, and best of all, the game saves after each mission.

Game saving is a plus, only thing that looks better about it though. I'll probably skip since I have the N64 version.

Also, cheezy dialog = part of the charm n_n

I'll pick this up if/when the price goes down. The N64 original was amazing, but there's really not much to the game, and I already have it on 64 and VC, so I'll skip this one for now.

I love this game. And I haven't even played it. Yes, I am completely biased when it comes to Star Fox 64.

Thanks given to Xkhaoz for that one avatar.

the first thing i checked was how well the game ran in 3D compared to 2D and it's easily the best i've seen so far, in ocarina of time and mercenaries there's a noticeable degradation in the graphics with 3D (more jaggies, granier) but this game looks exactly the same either way. it's great because it always bugs me to know i'm sacrificing something by using 3D in other games, not this time.

i'm not too thrilled with the motion controls though, the movement is way too slow and there's no way to adjust it. up and down isn't so bad but you've really got to move around to go side to side. the circle pad feels great but the physics take a little getting used to, the jets have a momentum that keeps them moving after you let off the pad now that's kind of weird.

and i don't know about you guys but i love the training guy's voice. i wish that guy could narrate everything. it's like wilfred brimley mixed with smokey the bear.

Yeah, I loved the Southern bear in the tutorial too.

I've been really impressed so far. I count the original as one of my favorite games so I was interested to see how it compares. The graphics are some of the best I've seen on the 3DS and some of the levels really benefit from the upgrade. Aquas for example was a dull, muddy mess on the N64 but looks great on the 3DS. Its exactly the same game of course but it still holds up very well. I like the subtle changes such as the ability to save after every level and the score attack mode. Experienced players should definitely go for the 'N64' difficulty level as the '3DS' mode is noticeably easier.

I should be getting this from Amazon sometime today. I can't wait!

It's...alright. After going through it a few times, that's all I can say about it. It looks better than the original and plays slightly better, but beyond that, it's really the same game with few tweaks of note. The 3D is quite underwhelming and didn't improve anything for me at all. I'm not complaining by the way, I bought it knowing full well that it doesn't reinvent the wheel and I'm fine with it.

If you can justify spending $40 on it, then you'll enjoy it. If you're not a Star Fox fan or you thought the original was meh, this is probably a waste of money. Save it for the holiday season.

I really enjoyed this game, since I hardly remember the original at all. The 3D is amazing. I'm kind of frustrated though because I got game over after taking the wrong turn while following fox's father after defeating the final boss though. >_>

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

I might get this in a couple of weeks... by that time someone might of thrown it in and got some money back for it. :3 Might as well get a pre-owned copy than spend £40 for a game I already own on my Wii.

Not rushing out to get it at the moment... there's other games I'm more interested in saving up for.

This is my first time with this game (Actually my first real experience with any Star Fox game!) and I really like it. I already beat it going probably the most basic route and even though it lasted less then 2 hours, every second of that time was full of action and very enjoyable. I'll soon start my second run and try to take a more daring path. I can also see myself going into the level select to improve my scores on each individual level. Great game!

Simply put, this is THE reason to own a 3DS right now. I have played the game a number of times on both the N64, as a child, as well as the Wii Virtual Console in the past few years, so I am a huge fan. The 3D really wowed me, and works even better than Pilotwings (the only game I felt really seemed to show off the 3D the most). I feel this is a game that is so well done, that a remastering was really all it needed. I am actually a bit envious of people who are playing it for the first time, since this is probably the best experience SF64 has ever been, and it already was amazing.

I've put about 2 hours into the game so far, and I love every minute of it. The only Star Fox game I ever played was Star Fox Adventures, so this is an entirely new experience for me. I'm not very impressed with the gryoscope controls, but the circle pad works great. I'm looking forward to trying out the other stages. I just wish I knew someone with a 3DS, so I could play the multiplayer.

Ok, so I got a game over and...I have to do it all over again?

At least it saves after every stage.

Well with how hit and miss n64 games are on LCD tvs this pleased me to show up. Between the 3DS mode, classic N64 mode, training with the added parts, and the rest it to me is well worth the price of admission. It's a fine game, and hell I think it plays a little smoother than on the N64 too which is a perk.

I sure do love how Nintendo is putting in all this high quality music for the second credits in these 3D remakes.
