Topic: SSB4: third jump by avoided attack

Im here, playing against CPU and strangely, sometimes when I miss an air attack (trying to knock airborne fighters off the stage), they magically fly a few feet in the air! The first few times, I swore I was crazy, but now I know what I am seeing.
(And yes, they have used their double jump. In some cases, their up B)
WHAT IS THIS!?
I've tried to ignore it, but it is really irritating! >

No, they are really jumping in mid air even though they used their second jump. Every time this happens they stay in their falling animation, but just get pushed up higher for some reason.

I'll look at it Metal

No I mean it's preferred that if you're going to talk about Smash Brothers, you do it in the link above. You actually get a better chance of having your problem answered.

Are you by chance using Mr. Game & Watch? Because his Up-neutral move is basically a gust of air that blows players higher.

If they're going back up, they might be footstooling you--it's possible to get an extra jump if you're on top of an opponent. You'll rarely see this happening in competitive play, but the AI is able to pull it off flawlessly.

You can only jump off an opponent by actually jumping when you're in the vicinity. If you've already used your jump, you can't jump off an opponent.

EDIT: I am wrong! You can continuously jump off an opponent, but the height you get off of them gets shorter and shorter the more you do consecutively.

SECOND EDIT: If you use your Up+B, you can't jump off an opponent.

Yes, I know about footstooling and have done so couple times myself. (the satisfaction is soooo good ) Those cheaters aren't doing that though and they stay in their falling animation, completely vulnerable, so its not air dodges either. Still, thanks for your suggestions, guys.

@mystman_12

They are actually treated as such, as if they are being blown in the air, but the problem is, I'm not Mr. Game and Watch. They do this if I barely miss an attack from below even if I am Ike, bowser, Dark Pit, and most recently Luigi. I'll ask again in the mentioned forum...
