Topic: Sorry to be a bother.

Hey, ya'all. I have a question. I went to the Gamestop here, and the employee said that they weren't accepting pre-orders but he put my name and number down unto their lists of reservations. Will I be gauranteed a Pikachu 3DS XL? I'm very sure I have nothing to worry about, but I am alittle scared..you see, I have been waiting for the announcement of one of these cuties ever since they launched in Europe and wouldn't like if for somehow I was denied one.

I think the difference between reservation and preorders is this. When you preorder you are guaranteed to get one. When you reserve you are actually reserving a spot for a preorder. This is my logical way of thinking of it. But don't be scared you'll probably get one =D

I don't think you have to worry about the XL going out of stock in the first place. Especially on day 1.

i wouldn't say that.....there is a limited number of this Pikachu XLs. EB Games Canada and Walmart's Canadian website were sold out in a matter of hours. Reserving doesn't guarantee you an XL at all. It just puts your name on a list. If you're lucky someone will forget to pay for it or decide not to get after all, but I highly doubt it. Gamestop still has it available on their website though so you could always get it that way even if you don't have a credit card you could just get a gift card from them for that amount and pre-order it that way.

I hate to bother them for a question like this though. The guy did state that they weren't excepting pre-orders. But who knows..maybe they are now. And yes, I am worried again. But maybe that's a good thing.

I can't imagine it completely selling out on the first day. At worst you may have to check a couple of places.

i'm just as worried as you are. i don't really have the money right now to buy an XL but I am afraid to wait until the 5th of april and not be able to get it at all.

Yeah, I know. I cannot either, Burning_Spear. I guess I just have Japan pictured in my head for some reason. And pre-orders sold out in just one day over there. And thanks mumof2kids82..I will try that out. I know Target is selling them for 160.00USD (as stated by the computer) so I bet that place would be bananas trying to get in line. Walmart is close by so if I can't get one at Gamestop I can try there. I bet I'll snag one at Gamestop though. I just have to go there early-early. How early? Well, I do have a figger in my hand..but we will see. ^_^ Thank you all so much for helping and responding to my post. My stomach thanks you all too.
