I liked Sonic heroes pretty well also. It had some really nice music. Remember mystic mansion? That whole haunted house themed world was awesome!

For the love of all things holy! Didn't we all agree to never talk about "That game" never again!
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
I think they should, but with new teams. And that Omega 7-11, kick him out and give us a real Sonic Character and not a random robot that came out of nowhere.
PS didn't SEGA announce SH2 for PS3, 360, and Wii? Oh well...
Sonic Heroes represents a lot of what classic Sonic fans hate. Adding even more teams would infuriate them. Right now, Sega seems to be in "classic with a modern twist" mode as opposed to the days of 1999-2009 (or so).
That being said, I would buy Sonic Heroes 2 regardless. I love me some 3D Sonic games with cheesy rock soundtracks, gimmicks, a bunch of useless characters, and heaps of glitches (not being sarcastic). Shoot me.
Sonic Heroes was the first step to the bottom for the Sonic franchise.
People who claim that Sonic doesn't work well in 3D forget that he did work well in 3D on the Dreamcast and their GameCube ports (other than some of the alternate gameplay styles used in them) but never as well since then. It's interesting how Sonic's first 3D games are so clearly his best over a decade later. Here's what Sega should do:
Step 1: Don't use any weird alternate gameplay methods (except possibly the mech shooting, that was actually a good one). Step 2: Keep the camera in a behind-the-back over-the-shoulder position most of the time. Step 3: Stop making everything such a race (No boosting, no quick step, no drifting, etc.) and bring back the Spin Dash. Mix in plenty of slower platforming without switching to 2D or making it too frustrating. Step 4: Age up the dialogue and story without making it too mature. Step 5: Bring back the Chao Gardens. Step 6: Make sure you do a good job bug testing and ironing out any other technical problems. Step 7: Call it Sonic Adventure 3. Step 8: Release the game to critical and sales success and make lots of money. Step 9: Never forget these lessons on what makes Sonic 3D gameplay work.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
