Not getting downgraded games.

It's a conspiracy, I tell you.

Those screenshots look really good. Does anyone know if they have announced a release date for Sonic Generations 3DS?

SEGA hasn't gone too well with Sonic in recent years.
Hopefully this turns out alright...

Actually this is one game that I'm confident will turn out really right. This is no doubt going to be one of the best new Sonic releases since Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. True, SEGA hasn't done Sonic right in the past few years but Sonic Generations: The Dark Brotherhood, Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing and Shadow The Hedgehog are some of the best newest Sonic The Hedgehog games that we've seen and I really feel as if Sonic Generations is going to be another great experience.

I hope you're correct.
They should give me the game free to compensate for the money I've wasted on some of their other recent titles. =P

Maybe for the PS3/Xbox360, but I have a feeling the 3DS version will be screwed :/ ...

Perhaps, but lets not be a downer. I'm so tired of all the negative talk surrounding Nintendo and PlayStation in the news lately. It's like people have sold their souls to iOS and Android gaming. Everywhere I turn people are cursing PlayStation and Nintendo and I definitely don't want to start singing the deathsong for Sonic Generations on the 3DS.

Yeah, you're right.
You can't really knock it when you haven't even played it yet.
It'll take more time to work out how well this game turns out.
You can't just assume that it'll be bad just because it's on the 3DS.
The 3DS is very capable of quality titles so there's no reason for that.

But Sega isn't trying that hard with the 3DS version, and we know it's gonna be bad because people who have already played this game have said that Sonic's controls are very sluggish.

We'll just have to wait and see.
And if it sucks... Well, at least there's a lot of other quality 3DS titles on the way.

I'm not hating on Nintendo, and I know the 3DS's capability. 3D Land is stunning. However, the reason why I don't think Sonic Gen won't be too great is because it looks very watered down. Classic and Modern stages don't look too different major dissapointment for me. Knowing what the 3DS can do, it seems like a huge letdown.

I haven't seen much of the game myself but I wouldn't be too surprised.
Haven't been too impressed with much that SEGA's done recently so it's easy to imagine that they may not have put in the required effort to make it a great title.
At least we've got a lot of first party games coming soon enough.
Now those we can count on.

They seem to be doing good with Shinobi, so there's no reason why Sonic can't have 2d and 3d. It seems like they just slapped Sonic Rush art over the classic stuff (I'm exaggerating here, so no need for any snappy remarks .)

Nintendo games are the only ones I look forward to because they are the ones who seem to have really good quality to their games.

[to the first two people that quoted me] I'm making my assumptions and judgements off of what's already official. Not what I think the game will be like...and I'm not a iOS/Android gamer .

Same here.
I buy consoles for first party Nintendo games and they're what I always enjoy the most.
Any good 3rd party games that come out on top of that is just a bonus.

Not too crazy about the sonic rush game play I've been seeing but the classic levels look great. I really like how they're giving the 3DS different levels, although I would of loved to see Mushroom Hill zone in the HD games.
