That's why i hate playin games like this when people on line act this way. Go through this all the time with any games online with the ps3 so this is nottin new. Im not in a rush to get this game.

seems like you're just upset people are better than you.. Capcom wouldn't keep the feature in if they knew that anyone who knew how to spam one move would win any fight, so obviously that's not the case. Like mentioned previously, there are many ways to get around it, but it does take some effort/practise.

No im not upset cause they better then me but that's not the case. Your right some effort/practise is the key to play, my point it dont matter to me im in to win or lose havin fun in all.

Ryu's victory quote against Zangief is perfect for this thread.
Ryu: Still unable to cope with my Hadoken I see.
hee hee.

Let's attack aggressively, kupo! :D

Cowards? That's pretty rude if you ask me. The people you play are playing the game but they choose to only use one move. You're a jerk for going out and talking about people like that.

Souls are for the weak. I flow with the darkness on the pathway of depression.

They r teh n00bs, whether or not you want to admit it.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

All of you: GET OVER IT. Every online game is going to have spammers and noobs.

Pfff, I can tell that you're new to Street Fighter. In tournaments, people do that all the time and it's not considered cheap or bad at all. It's actually a legitimate strategy. There are several ways to work around it though and put the hurt on the opponent >:3

Dhalsim = Use a teleport and get behind him
E. Honda = Charge down and then press up + kick. That should get you closer.
Zangief = Use the double lariat
C. Viper = Use a super jump and then burning kick
Chun Li = Use your super or ultra combo
Guile = Counter with sonic booms
Abel = Use the Marseilles roll to go underneath them
Ken = Use the tatsumaki senpuuyaku
And there are many other options...

Also, good job using Adon! He's my main too. Use a heavy jaguar strike to get in quickly

imo the noobs are the people who complain about being beaten because they don't like their oponents strategy - which is essentially what's going on here. some players will have abilities that will piss you off, but you're quite able of getting around that.

I play other fighting games like Tekken, Urban Rein, etc.

And where I'm from, your considered a noob, cheater, or whatever if you use the same move over and over again.

I guess there are different opinions when it comes to Street Fighter!

Lol that cheap tactic has been in every SF game that had Ryu in it. I remember playing SF2 on the Arcade cabinet in the local 711 and people would do that all the time. Basically get use to it as long as theres Ryu and fireballs it will happen. BTW in arcade circles its called Hadoken Disease.

The developers of those games must be stupid to rely on their gamers moralities to not "cheat" in the game.

Try using Akuma's aerial fireball to hit them every time they throw a fireball.

Or T. Hawk's Condor Dive.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

komicturtle

Get Chun-Li to whoop dat... butt.

I don't like Ryu. He's a very irritating man. That's why I want him in the next Smash Bros. so Kirby could beat the hadoken outta him.

komicturtle

Well I've yet to take it online (and thus face the frustration of it myself) but I'm still of the mind that no matter how seemingly cheap your opponents strategy is, if you can't figure a way around it, for that match at least, they were the better player.

And if their fighting style is to use the same move over and over again (which is often a projectile, though not always), once you break it, you'll find that they don't have a second one to fall back on. And at that point, you really shouldn't be losing if you have a bit of skill with the game because in ll likelihood, your opponent doesn't.

Well i fighted same guy fighted other day which was funny! i was jumpin over his fireballs and kickin his face in to dirt and i won match woop woop:-P then he disconnect from me boo!! Lol.

Which cause my game to restart at option menu which ticked me off!

I just find touch screen weak edition for doing moves pressing button there is a small delay before move is done! So been trying out pro mode at moment.

Clearly there is alot love for street fighter on this forum but i find combat sluggish! Thats what i love about dead or alive or marvel vs capcom.

Combat just flows. When i had ago at DOR DIMENSION i was able string combos together easily it felt natural and i liked it alot.

I played the new marvel vs capcom game other day and blow me away!

Of course this is on console so different experience but it was amazing!

This is my thoughts on it so i dont expect you to agreed with it:-P

Everything else on the game is amazing. And i truly believe capcom has done fantastic job on the game its just not
MY ideal fighter:-)

As for the "am jerk comment i found that extremely childish" to start calling me names for my honest opinion of my personal views of online matchs ive experienced?

If we knew how small we were are problems wouldn't seem so BIG!

Must admit, this topic makes me laugh.

Basically, if you (speaking to everyone in general) can't beat somebody who's just spamming the fireball move on SSF4, then you're a n00b yourself, and shouldn't criticise them. Ever since the first versions of Street Fighter 2 were available, there's always been people who spam the fireball. And there's always been easy ways to dodge and counterattack with a bit of practice.

Once you get a bit better at playing SSF4, if you play against anybody who tries spamming moves, you'll likely be able to beat them easily, and with Perfect/near Perfect rounds too.

Not to mention the game matches you up based on your skill rating.

Stop complaining and GO PLAY GAMES.

My friend was using Chun-Li and it was always "KIKOKEN!" and that other move. Also hated how effective her special move was.

I stuck to using C. Viper (I like her a lot), but when I switched to Cammy, I was mopping the floor.

Too bad I already lost 3 times online. I'm also scared of running into someone using Guile. "SONIC-BOOM!" "FLASH KICK!"

Learn how to block. Trust me, that really helps on the iPod version.

nothing could possibly ever help the iPod version.

but yeah--blocking is important, as are focus attacks. Personally fireball spammer should be easy to deal with--between focus-cancels, regular blocks, and jumping over them, there's no way to effectively fireball-spam and win. Sagat can be a bit dirtier given the high and low fireballs...but yeah. Cannot wait to get my 3DS/SSF4 and take some of you kids to school

Seems like all that I've fought online so far are noobs. I don't mind it because I can get used to the game controls again. I was really getting annoyed when I couldn't figure out how to fight against people using the PRO Controls and not Lite. My starter is Cammy! I love her speed and the eye candy after I beat you!
