Here, have some advice;

When Street Fighter 4 originally launched, it was the same deal. You have to learn how to get through these situations. Learn to use Focus attacks in order to stop a fireball and continue movement, learn which moves your characters have that go through fireballs for when you get up close.

I know that fireball spam is a noob tech that works only against noobs. All you have to do is learn how not to be a noob and you'll be able to take it.

Which character do you use? I could probably give you some better advice if I knew.

For now, you can try this: http://shoryuken.com/f280/noobs-fireballs-how-deal-them-168886/

Okay, Adon has this wicked awesome move. I can't recall the name right this moment (maybe it was Jaguar Strike), but it's the one where he flips forward and kicks down. When you get near the opponent (like a fireballs distance away), that's an ideal move as it will go over the fireball and nail them in the face.

I have very limited knowledge of Adon techs, so you should give the stickies a read here: http://shoryuken.com/f329/

Learn how to block. Trust me, that really helps on the iPod version.

I confess to doing the same thing with Seth, SONIC BOOM SONIC BOOM SONIC BOOM etc
I've had some pretty epic wars with characters playing Ryu though, minutes of throwing fireballs at each other until one of us is either too slow, or jumps over and uppercuts the other in the face. Ryu is better with fireball than Seth is with sonic boom, he can shoot them quicker. If you can't beat them, join them

If this is your first Street Fighter then you'll have to learn conservation skills. In the Versus series, you gain bars every other combo, but in Street Fighter you have to know when and how to use your gauge effectively. Whether to use it for offense or defense, or just trash it all for a Super. Make sure to learn to use it well.

Projectile spam is annoying. Thankfully each character is designed with a way to handle this, even if it isn't particularly fun. I use Zangief. I haven't played SF4 in a long time, but if he plays like he does in SSF2THDR, he can green punch through it and lariat through it. No big deal, but still disappointing if that's all the competition I'll see tomorrow night online.

Come on, friends,
To the bear arcades again.

If you're playing to win, you should utilize everything you can to do that, even if it includes pissing off your opponent with projectile spam. If they're decent, that tactic won't last very long because they'll figure out a way around it.

There is an option to block matches with opponents using Simple Controls. This helps cut back on running into to spamming nublets. =)

Great players know how to exploit people who are overly aggressive. Just give yourself time to get better and soon you'll be making them pay for that.

seems like you're just upset people are better than you.. Capcom wouldn't keep the feature in if they knew that anyone who knew how to spam one move would win any fight, so obviously that's not the case. Like mentioned previously, there are many ways to get around it, but it does take some effort/practise.
