Posts 1 to 20 of 24

I own a 3DS, Wii, GameCube, and GBA. Where should I start?

Is there to was though when even at like of than with it?

Games I'm Currently Playing: Persona 3 FES, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked

I'd say with Black and White, since they're designed to almost be a reboot of the series (new world, and brand new set of only new Pokemon), but X&Y sounds fine too.

Go X and Y! Pokemon is always starter friendly so you shouldn't have any problems jumping in to the newest ones. If you can't wait till then, then defiantly Soul Silver or Herat Gold. They're remakes of, by far, the best Pokemon games ever.

It's Wario time Yaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Go with X and Y.

Start with Red and Blue... they are to me still to this day the best.. after that Gold and Silver.. but on Gold and Silver be careful the save battery has a nasty habit of going out.. after that.. I guess X and Y would be fine..

I am a wild and free Ninetails not a trainer.. get over it...

Heart Gold/Soul Silver are the best so far i my opinion

*I wanna be the very best gamer
Like no one ever was
To play them is my real test
To beat them is my cause

I will travel across the country
Searching far and wide
Each Pokemon game to understand
The power that's inside

Pokemon X, its you and me
I know it's my destiny
Pokemon Y, oh, you're my best friend
In a world we must defend
Pokemon games, a heart so true
Our codes will pull us through

You teach me and I'll teach you
Pokemon games, gotta play 'em all

Every challenge along the way
With courage I will face
I will battle every day
To claim my rightful place

Come with me, the time is right
There's no better time
Finger on button, we'll win the fight
It's always been our very slight ambition.*

Did I win? Did I win?

I'd start with a handheld main series game. Either Gen 3, 4, or 5. There's also FireRed and LeafGreen which are remakes of Gen 1.

Backloggery. Now playing: 3D Dot Game Heroes, Donkey Kong, EarthBound Beginnings, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, and Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+.

Soul Silver and Heart Gold. These are awesome games. You should try it out. I have both gold and silver but neither save because of the battery. But the choice is up to you!

Pre-Ordered Super Smash Bros. 3DS!

black/white or soul silver/heart gold. if your feeling like trying something a little bit older then go for emerald or fire red/leaf green.

just a nintendo gamer on a nintendo related site (who wouldve seen that one coming?)
the random user name randomly became a Pikachu.

As you have a GBA you could start from the beginning with Fire Red and Leaf Green, which are remakes of the first games.

Just start with the 3DS game. I played Pokemon Yellow in 1999, and then my next Pokemon game was White 2, 14 years later, and it still felt very samey to me. The concept of the game is fantastic, but boy do they drag it out when it comes to moving the series forward. I'll probably end up skipping X/Y now despite knowing it will get great reviews.

X & Y or Black & White One.

I've also never played a Pokemon game before; and I was just wondering:
How do they make game after game without repeating the same thing?

I mean, what do the games involve anyway? (Storyline, ect.)

It depends where you live. If you live in America like I do, then go to a Gamestop quickly. Gamestop stopped receiving GBA games sometime earlier this year or last year. Either way, if you're lucky, you could find a GBA Pokemon game. Get the GBA Pokemon games before they're all gone. First, go with either Pokemon Firered or Leafgreen as your first priority. Your next priority is Pokemon Emerald, unless you'd prefer Ruby/Saphire.

Then you could either way, Diamond/Pearl, Platinum, Heartgold/Soulsilver, Black/White, or X/Y. However, Heartgold/Soulsilver are the best games from the DS Line to my opinion, and there is so much content in Heartgold/Soulsilver. Or you could go with Black/White, since, like GuardianKing said, it is kind of like a reboot of the series with all new Pokemon and everything. Or, like many others said, you could also go with X/Y because you could catch up with everyone else in a new experience for everyone. Those are my recommendations, I hope you consider them. I own: Red, Blue (doesn't work), Silver (lost), Leafgreen, Firered, Saphire, Ruby, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl (glitched up from the AR), Platinum (x2, lost one), Heartgold (x2, lost both), Soulsilver, Black, White, and Black 2. I also own Battle Revolution and Pal Park both on the Wii.

Friend Safari: Butterfree, Venomoth, and Volbeat (if there are any Bug Catchers out there...?)
Looking For: Ditto, Magneton Friend Safaries (please contact me if you have any)

Super Smash Bros Mains:
Kirby, King Dedede, Mega Man
