Hi everyone, new to the forums.
So I was fortunate enough to get a Majoras Mask 3ds. Late last night I noticed a very very very small pixelated dot on the top screen. Now, this would not bother most people, however, I am not like most people and its driving me crazy . I called Nintendo customer support (BEST support I ever had to deal with) and I greatly expressed how I want to get my system repaired, and if it cannot be repaired to either A) return it as is B) replace it with a like-kind aka a new MAJORAS MASK LIMITED EDITION. She made her notes and I wrote up a quick letter to attach to the system to back that up.
Am I making the right decision? Its a new system that should not have an issue (in my opinion). Even though most would completely not see the dot, I most certainly did. perhaps its my 20/10 vision or just being anal, but I feel like I need to get it fixed.
What complicates the situation is that i have the majoras mask system. I want to make sure it is returned to me. What would you guys/girls do?
most electronic companies allow for some dead pixel ratio but hey if Nintendo is going to replace the screen then I'd go for it. Tvs and monitors tend to require that to take up a certain size before they repair.

Honestly if I just dished out 300$ for an electronic device only to find out it's defective I would return it instantly.
I suggest you do the game, so long as it's free of charge.
Glad we are on the same page, yes It should function 100% correctly a week after purchasing it. I would normally return it if it was any other version, however, as i am sure you know, the majoras mask version is nearly impossible to find.
I also drove 2.5 hours for it (That dedicated )

Either Screen has a Small, White (or Other Color) Dot on the Screen
Situation:
A system screen has one or two small dots on the screen
These dots can be any color
This can be most apparent when playing darker games or games with more motion (like racing games)
Information:
With a small number of Nintendo 3DS screens, one or two dots on the screen may appear to be 'stuck' on a particular color, such as white or red, or the pixel may be black/off.
This effect is caused when a particular pixel (the dots that make up the screen) is not working properly.
This situation is common in many LCD devices (PC monitors, televisions, cell phones, etc.)
These issues are considered within LCD manufacturers' quality specifications.
This issue will remain limited to those pixels, and will not get any worse.
Use the system for a few weeks to determine whether this interferes with the enjoyment of game play.
Still Not Resolved:
If, after using the system for awhile, the tiny dot is too distracting, the Nintendo 3DS does carry a one-year warranty.
We are happy to inspect and, if necessary, fix the system at no charge within the warranty period. Please click here for the repair options in your country.

Its barely noticeable to MOST, but I would most certainly prefer a pristine , limited edition system
I'd love to hear from someone who has sent a majoras mask 3ds in for repair. I came across it but can't seem to find it now. I know they had similar concerns
