i want snes releases like on the wii. NAOW

i was shocked when i saw so many great titles available, especially final fantasy 3 (6 US). i was eager for the 3ds online service just for that. and so far...no snes.
snes was my best consoles, or i should say, the console the gave me some one the most memorable moments in my gaming life.

i want those snes games on my 3ds. i would give so much money to nintendo if they do so, and i doubt i would be the only one. if theyre already available on the wii, why not on the 3ds too ? it wouldnt give them much work for this easy cash-in-on0oldies.

Agreed, but most likely that will only come via GBA remakes of SNES games. Not too bad, though, because Yoshi's Island, Super Mario World, all 3 Donkey Kong Country games, and even the SNES versions of SMB 2 and 3 had GBA remakes. Yoshi's Island is already confirmed for the ambassadors. I guess we can only wait and see.

Since I grew up with the SNES, I'd like nothing more than to play them on the go. Unfortunately, Nintendo doesn't seem to be planning it that way.

So far, the only 3DS VC releases we've seen were all for past portable systems, and the only Wii VC releases we've seen were all for past consoles, so it would seem Nintendo will keep Handhelds and Consoles seperate VC-wise.

The only way games seem to cross over from console to handheld and vice versa is via full retail remakes.

I just bought myself an SNES a week ago. Now I just need some more games for it. I think SNES and Wii VC is enough for me, no need to have SNES games on 3DS (especially as Yoshi's Island is one of the free GBA games).

My suggest is instead of waiting for SNES games to come to the Wii just pick up a SNES from ebay or a retro shop that way you dont have to wait or have to deal with a game not coming to the VC. I dont think that they will bring SNES games to the 3DS unless they are a GBA port like A Link to the Past or Breath of Fire since it seems that they want to keep console games for the Wii VC and Handheld games for the 3DS VC.

yeah, its a shame really.

i could buy a real snes with real games, but theyre not handheld. and some games i liked a lot are far from cheap. like chrono trigger.
but for this one, the DS one dies the magic so well, i dont need it for the snes, or even a port on the 3ds.

Maybe as a special surprise Nintendo could finsh Star Fox 2 and release it as a 3D Classic (Yeah right) but it still be cool to see the game finished.
